I had the opposite. I begged everyone, including my husband and our pediatrician to believe me that our daughter was autistic ever since she was 1 year old. Everyone laughed at me, the doctor called me stupid. Eventually my daughter got too big for me to handle; I begged my husband to put her into a special school. Just when I finally. FINALLY got my husband on board, and literally just days before we were finally going to move and get her the help she needed (and I needed too, because I'm very sick, need a transplant and just too exhausted to care for her all on my own anymore) CPS took her away from us, not even because she was being neglected or abused. The only reason CPS took her away was because she was a handful, but instead of offering us help or acknowledging we were trying to get help, they just took her from us. That was years ago, now she's 18 and had aged out of CPS and we still can't get her back. CPS put her in a foster home and now that foster home has hired a lawyer to get guardianship. Probably just so they can keep getting money. This is nothing less than "legal" kidnapping. I had started a gofundme to "help return our autistic daughter to us".

I can't believe a show calling itself The Doctors would promote this ineffective and dangerous non-treatment. What's next? Gonna encourage giving the children bleach?
I mean look at this couple. They were ASHAMED of their child. Trying to hide that a two year old wasn't walking or talking? They put him in ABA which at it's very foundation is traumatic for children due to the intensity and hours and hours being forced in to repetitive behaviors. Of course there was likely a bad reaction to that so their next move? Torture him with restrictive diets. "Biomedical interventions" is anything from massive amounts of vitamins and supplements to chelation therapy, all useless and often dangerous. No wonder he was standing there screaming! He was MISERABLE! Hyperbaric chamber for NINE HUNDRED HOURS? It took that long before they realized it wouldn't help? Because it took me about ten minutes to realize it wasn't just useless, it was potentially dangerous. Chest pains at best. Respiratory failure at worst. All because he didn't talk and wore a diaper. Damaged goods. And what did they get for all that? A child who was overwhelmed, stressed, and likely didn't trust his parents. He's probably have been better off in an institution. Imagine all the wonderful supports he could have received for that 300 thousand dollars.
What I saw was a child who naturally progressed as most autistic children do as they get a little older. It wasn't this poison they were putting in him. There is zero evidence for this snake oil and the potential adverse effects are life threatening. BUT HEY he no longer shames the family!

    • @Greekadonis2
