This is lovely, I’m making sail boat themed quilt at the moment and I’m now going to make this cushion to go with it, but will have to button or Velcro the back as in “lockdown.” and can’t go out to buy a zip, thanks lovely tutorial.

Just use a small straight stitch, that should do the trick!

@ iZjamZi I believe she did stitch down the denim pieces just at the edges while catching the thin strips underneath.
