I have now updated this build with much better gear from the Trials of the Dragon King DLC, honestly I didn't think this could get better, but I was VERY wrong, the best magic build has turned God mode, it really is just insane AND it can still get better! How do you grind for the gear/affinity needed for this build? Just look at the loot pools for missions on Chaos difficulty and set the level high or something?
No, everything is random. You just gotta grind that’s it, just play whatever gives a good amount of loot and grind for hours until you get what you need
@@WeLoveAspect yeah but when I try to do that I’m killed in like 2 hits lol that’s what I don’t understand about this game: you need higher level equipment but you have to defeat enemies that are too high level for you to deal with in the first place
The command ability Lancet, it grants MP every time you hit an enemy with something they’re weak too, because Cyclic Warrior makes enemies weak to the elements you hit them with that will always be active, we then have Tyrants job affinity to make it easier to build up the weakness and that also grants us more health per attack, and with a mix of the other affinities and Void Knight we can get more and more MP back per slam.
The main missions I grind for gear is the Azure Memories: The Stymied, Indigo Memories: The Trapped and then also Scarlet Memories: The Stranger’s Despair. Otherwise while you grind you can just keep resetting the exchange shop and potentially buy all the gear you need, good luck though!
I can't quite get this to work, I don't have the affinities you do sadly. I was considering using Ninja to apply element weakness before switching to Cyclic. but For me LB is too short of a duration.
I’m trying this build. But when I use earthquake I’m getting no mana back from lancet. Maybe because I’m not hitting for weakness damage. But idk why not?
This build is dead, they nerfed the shit out of it when DLC 2 dropped. You can get it working again despite the nerfs however, but it takes using A LOT of 600% and 400% job affinities only possible within the Rift
Nice build. I'm trying to replicate this right now. I have most of the abilities covered. But RNG is brutal. I just can't get all the right pieces for the bonuses. lol Did you have any issue with Bahamut with this strategy? He's murdering me like crazy right now.
No I didn’t lol, actually pretty much every boss/mission was easy with this haha, it was good before the DLC but now it’s even better with the addition of accessories and the fact that gear bonuses get stronger and grant more % bonuses the higher level they are. Really powerful now. If RNG is cucking you one thing I can suggest is the Exchange shop, you can refresh gear endlessly until you find a piece with the job affinities you want, I’ve been doing this for perfect Chaos gear myself, then if you need the Dragon Treasure there’s a really good mission to farm for it called the Azure Memories: The Stymied, just debuff yourself through the Trials and you can get up to 175 per run while it remains easy to clear. But there are harder missions like the one I uploaded today that can reward over 2000 per run and the mission is also easy, but requires that you actually fight a ton of stuff. Personal preference in what to farm honestly.

Dw, I’m currently in the process of making a video covering the level 400 version of the side mission where you fight both the Warrior of Light and Bahamut back to back. I will admit even though this build slaps, the Warrior second phase is still hard, he might be the hardest boss in the game imo. The build deletes everything else in that mission though, all of Bahamut and phase 1 of Warrior was easy.

Well technically you don’t “really” need all of the job affinities I have and you could definitely skip a few to make building it faster with no hassle, but if you want the jackpot setup then you will need to grind a bit. Luckily grinding has been made way easier in the DLC as you could theoretically buy your way to the perfect gear.
What? No the build grants you unlimited MP using the setup I show, it’s very straight forward and will result in a meaty magic focused build that you don’t need to care about MP with.
If you mean Chaos mode or Bahamut mode then yeah you will want to run missions in those to get good gear for the build, then this build will make running that harder content easy. Look just try to copy as much of the build as you can, throw in some of your own stuff and see what you like. Just getting the general stuff and learning the DPS loop for the build is enough to make it work, everything else is the cherry on top.

@@FinalFanatic92 Then go up gradually or just choose a mission that doesn't require you to kill anything to beat it for free high level loot
What about this is raising your mp limit. the only thing i notice is the gradual regen but that shouldnt apply once you've gotten past 200.

Any tips on the best places to grind for the gear ive just been doing the HM on lvl 350 atm and still not gotten anything good yet lmao

Just me locking my gear so auto dismantle doesn’t get them and so I don’t accidentally dismantle them when clearing my inventory
