As for me the purpose is very clear and obvious! Back in the late 80s and early 90s almost everyone was obsessed to have this expensive musical hi-fi equipment made in Japan at home!!!

I´d love to have high quality cassettes like you do, but most Brazilians cassettes are poor quality (record companies is focused in making money)
No wonder. It was in most of the countries back then... I'm from Ukraine... And we had to record everything on our own on blank cassettes....
I have actually an original cassette from this album and trust me... it sounds like crap!
