Fishbowls are unhealthy for fish because, for them, it is like looking through a magnifying glass all the time; very disorienting, and over time they become stressed and die. Fish tanks with straight panes of glass are more compassionate to our fish friends. As we make fish art we can talk about this with kids so that more fish are cared for appropriately.
