As adorable as pets can be, it is very easy to get carried away. I remember when I got my little black kitten, how cute he was, and how everyone in my house spoiled him. In this case, his frustration is justified. Listener glossed over/didn't acknowledge any of his expressed feelings with that "jealousy" bit, and then the tears threw everything out the window (as they do majority of the time in these scripts/audios). Sigh. And speaker was so articulate and honest with his thoughts as well... The dog is cute and serves its purpose, but should have its place like everything else. Coming from a person who latches onto animals a million times easier and faster than forming any sort of connection with a human.

My dog was a very tiny boy when we got him and had a lot of health issues so we definitely coddled him more than we should have, as he got older he just became a spoiled brat. He'll be 3 in March and it seems like he thinks we all are just here to serve him and his needs, for example he is currently sleeping in my brother's room in his bed. He has a dog bed downstairs but that's not good enough for him.
That dog is so cute and lucky to have an attentive family.
