A little update for the one who is interested. Today a picture was posted on the newly refurbished trains of Kanonen and the new name that the roller coster will have at its new home The Lost Island Theme Park. Kanonen is now Matugani and the front of the trains is the shape of a hand painted snake. @@CoasterStop It was running the entire time I was at the park! I heard people talking about issues, but we got there at 2PM and it ran all afternoon. The park had pretty low attendance (sadly) so rides were unlimited on everything! I did really enjoy the launch and the tight track is great!

Before the launch when it was Kanonen a voice said: put your head against the headrest. Then loud heartbeats before the canon sound and launch. You may have heard it in this video ☺️

Got to ride this many years ago while visiting Sweden, nothing insane but very fun and re rideable. Despite the lower speed the launch was as good as on any other Intamin hydraulic launch.
Yeah it was a really fun ride. I miss it still and actually missing it more and more. Would be really fun if I ever manage to ride it at Lost Island Theme park sometime in the future. Thanks for watching and commenting ☺️
sI mean I haven't visited Liseberg since 2017 sadly but yeah, I do quite miss Kanonen. It wasn't the longest or fastest, but it had some great forces, a good punch, and was incredibly rerideable. Like, Kanonen was built for marathoning, much more so than Balder or Helix in my opinion. Now I haven't ridden Valkyria yet so IDK if it'd be a worthy replacement. B&M's smaller dive coasters like it tend to be fun rides, but I'm not particularly a fan of their vest restraints which could be a dealbreaker for me. They're so tight, restrictive, and imposing that it often makes it hard to breathe from what I've experienced with other B&M's with such restraints.
Since 2017, wow hope you get a chance soon again. A lot is going on at the park for the moment. Exactly, not long, not fast, but great. It was a nice roller coaster in the park. A realized that mostly after it was removed. About Valkyria, it is a worthy replacement and more so. Valkyria is my favorite dive coaster to be honest. The vest restraints are awful, I hate them. But guess what, I don't anymore. Which is a bit strange. But I think the reason is that Valkyria is a couple of years old now? Maybe the vests tend to get a bit more loose with time and use? I miss Kanonen a lot, mainly because I only got to ride it once before it was demolished. I was 139cm that year and with some luck I managed to get on eventhough the limit was actually 140cm. My luck ran out however when we went back to ride it for a second time, as the personnel deemed I was too short this time.
At least you did get that one ride in. I remember the last runs it did in the park and I rode it over and over. Didn’t love it by that time but I do now when it’s gone. Great little coaster that I love to hate. Or hate to love. With the ride all the best as Matugani

Now that I've seen this documentary i'd like to ride it! I don't remember the ride being at liseberg (i live close to gothenburg) but it was probably because i couldn't ride it back then.
It was quite a coaster to be honest. Looks way prettier now though (I know that not everyone is fond of the green color, but I am) and soon opens as Matugani at the Lost Island Theme park. You're probably right, for me I don’t really remember Lisebergsloopen since I wasn’t allowed to ride it when it was in the park.
