@@solange3172 In S01, JJ once joked about Big John being in Atlantis while with the Pogues in the Twinkie... I feel like El Dorado was just as much as a joke. The roots of S01 were just so deep into the OBX soil, the characters so solid, that the out of scale S03 plot nearly sink that boat.
I don't know I think the treasure hunter plot gives room to explore lots of things. Ask Lara Croft writers.

2. They have done it many times before on other giant Netflix shows (Stranger Things, Money Heist, You, etc)
3. It's obviously due to money and notice how the dates are close to a month apart. Yes you could subscribe on Oct 10 and watch both parts on one billing cycle, but they know that most Netflix users don't have it set up like that
