One thing to point out. It should be made known to the director or concert mistress if diabetes is an 8ssue. Chips or candy can raise blood sugar and diabetics can feel when their sugar is dropping. It's rare but during my 50 years, I've known two people that dealt with this. Again, rare! So if it's not for medical reasons, don't be blowing tater tots through your flute!😊
What about discreetly eating an energy bar? That I could see overlooking once in awhile because they are likely to desperately need the energy to do their job. But chips or unwrapping a sandwich is totally out of bounds unless it is during the break.
That’s probably fine, if you really need it. Like if someones is pregnant or has some kind of medical situation we’re an energy bar is absolutely necessary right then and there, it’s probably fine. And also maybe fine if you are a member of the orchestra or a well liked & frequent sub, but if you are a farily new sub- I wouldn’t do that.
that's not even an amateur, that is just INCOMPETENT 💀
Agreed 🫤
