In his interview with DFW The Ticket, Troy Aikman RIPPED the Cowboys WR corps: I think the routes are terrible. I think they run terrible routes. And I've thought that beyond this year. I think CeeDee (Lamb) has got to improve in his route running. As a quarterback, if you're not certain where guys are going to be consistently, it's hard to play the position. That's what I see. I see guys lazy coming off the line of scrimmage. Sometimes they run, usually if they do, it's because they're anticipating they're going to get the football on that play, but if they're not, they don't. And it all ties together. I'm not impressed with that part of it. I just finished watching the Baltimore Ravens because I have them this week. You put on film of theirs and watch their receivers run routes and they come off the football, so does San Francisco's and Green Bay's and others. But it's hard to play the (QB) position if you're not certain how guys are going to run routes or where they're going to be. And I'm not speaking for Dak. Dak may say, 'Hey, I think (their routes) are amazing.' But as a former quarterback watching it, it's gotta get a lot better."

I'd trade Parsons but its not a knock on him. The team is mediocre and has a ton of holes to fill. Use the picks and money and build out the roster. One star player isn't on defense wont cut it.
Man cowboys fans are some of the dumbest fans on the planet. It will be a minimum 25+ years before you ever get a defensive player as good as Micah again.

I personally would not pay him because look at his stats. They have not gotten any better since his rookie year. They have State the same, which means he's not getting better. He's just living off of the skills he already has.
I mean, he has great football skills though.🤷♂️ That being said, I'd be more concerned with the drop off from his play that comes during the second half of the season and the playoffs.🤔

With the cowboys having 10 picks in this up coming draft, their own 1-6 and then 4 comp picks, how would you use them? Assume the board breaks right for you how many go on each side of the ball? I'm thinking 2-3 on offense and 7-8 on defense. I would use free agency to address other needs on the offense.

Aikman knows what he’s talking about. He had tough hard working receivers.
P - Parsons is a future Hall or Famer. He’s a generational player. Add him to any of the 4 to 10 teams on your list of top 10 Super Bowl contenders, and they move up into the top two or three contenders. If the greedy Joneses for once manage things with an eye toward contending instead of just staying rich, they’d augment this asset - not weaken the team.

@@ExperienceEric Nah. He won’t live forever. And if he wants another Super Bowl, he’ll do it the way he did it when the team was actually a contender. The first two superbowls Jerry was hands off when it came to football. Jimmy made those decisions. Jerry made the smart decision of hiring Jimmy and letting him handle the football end while Jerry handled the financial. The third Super Bowl Jerry got was with Jimmy’s team plus a smart addition by Jerry in adding Deion Sanders.
So what we have now is, Jerry and his son too involved in football decisions so no strong minded coach can actually build/mold a good team. And then no big moves like the Deion one being made because Stephen has convinced Jerry that outside free agency is a bad thing for some reason.
Long story short, yes, Jerry has three superbowls. But he got those three superbowls by operating in completely different fashion. The way it’s being done now will never win a championship. We’ve got 29 years of evidence to prove that point.

He is the one making sure they only get the yes man type coaches. He’s created the atmosphere that a head coach is a dime a dozen and not all that important. He’s the one landing helicopters during practice to big dick the entire coaching staff. He’s the one who has created the circus environment/culture of no accountability (see Patrick Crayton’s story about Dez Bryant and carrying shoulder pads for reference) He’s the one who has employed nepotism which puts Stephen in a decision making role he obviously shouldn’t be in. If the buck stops with Jerry, then so does the criticism. My point is, the whole “find another team” statement from you is bush league and casual fan stuff. He spoke about CeeDee specifically. However, he spoke about the entire receiving group not getting off the ball fast enough if the play doesn’t call for them to be the primary target on the play. He compared the route running of the Cowboys receivers to that of the Ravens. In other words, the Cowboys receivers only run tight, aggressive routes with discipline if they think they’re going to get the ball. Half stepping it on your route, even if you aren’t going to get the ball, negatively affects everyone else on the offense.
