I thought I loved the voice of James Hoffman, but that was before I heard Sinbad. Wow! Can we get an hour of him reading the phone book out loud, please? I’d buy that!
@@RoversAdventure making my way through your videos. So inspiring! Wishing you the very best with whatever you’re doing now (I’ll catch up with you soon ;))
The ending clip captured the essence of why I love the sailing community. Strangers when entering the harbor, lifelong friendships after. It’s the very reason I want to retire living on a boat in the Caribbean. 👍👍👍
Loved the bon voyage sentiments from all the friends you have made. Very touching, Alan. You've undoubtedly had an impact on the hearts of many other international sailors.
Like the sail repair bit, practical info for sure. Side note, Sinbad really needs to do voiceover work. I bet he could hold an audience captive reading a frickin phone book with that voice.
If Sinbad never worked as a voice-over performer, he has missed out on a huge opportunity. What a voice!
I told him that many times.
Quite possibly a voice for a medival theme or one of the pirates of carribean types.
I was thinking the same thing!
Absolutely
A God given "tonal" that demands attention!
You clearly made some very good friends.😀👍⛵️

He really does have the best voice.

What a wonderful wealth of resources to have had these two divers inspect the hull of Wave Rover. Very admirable, Alan.
The good byes from everyone was a really nice touch. What a wonderful community.
Sinbad the man with the golden voice

I've been very fortunate to have met so many marvelous people throughout the voyage. Thanks for noticing.

Very true.
Very sexy voice. ☺
Ian, how are you doing?
Alan, I'm enjoying your edited clips. I hope you are doing well and enjoying your time at home with Mrs. Wave Rover.
@@maggieplasse3785 thanks for the thoughts. I'm sure Ian will watch this episode and read your very positive comments.
As a Journeyman carpenter, Alan . . . it does not surprise me that you are able to repair your own sail with contact cement. Very resourceful.
Thank you very much, one has to think outside the box when you are on a shoe string budget.
@@RoversAdventure one should be able to think outside the box any how!!
Great to see so many new friends you have made.
That was an interesting sail repair. It was to bad that you had to head back to Canada. It looks like you meet a lot of nice people there.
Happy sailing be safe be careful
Thank you, I will
Great video as usual!
Thanks again!
I’ve started smoking 10 cigars per day to get somewhere close to Sinbads gravely voice. Not sure about the accent tho. Another terrific video mate!
If I can be of any assistance with smoking those cigars let me know my friend.
Great repair job. Now that patch, is done on one side only, correct?
No. I made 2 identical patches and sandwiched the ripped portion. That way the frayed edges are covered completely.
@@RoversAdventure that makes sense
That will do the job nicely! Question about the standing rigging on the Contessa, did you go-up a size? What sizes did you use?
I stayed with the designed sizes. 3/32 and 1/8.
What is contact cement?
It's generally used for gluing plastic laminate, it's also somewhat flexible.
Sounds like Jeremy Clarkson is helping you haha
Or John B. Wells.
Did you hear a tearing noise ,when the sail was tearing , bloody he'll, I just found it funny
Hi Alan! What is the vídeo editor you use? Regards
I use Filmora 9
