@@FragileCreatures A compressor will change how your signa behaves, so it will have some affect. The Adaptive modes are signal level dependent, so it just matters how hard you're hitting the drive. A compressor before is fine.

This is TH-cam we have a quarter inch speaker. Of course overdrive pedals all have a lot in common as far as the circuit. But if you get a chance to-play these pedals in person you are more likely to hear the nuances.

How does it sound stacked with other drives?
If you have a compressor ahead of it in the chain, will that mess with the mod mode?

My current favorite Klon fix is this: Nordvang 83 Drive but I put my J Rockett Silver Archer before it for a little extra seasoning.
