GAVEL , I love that. I just went full murder , I was so done with etheric at that point. Offering him mercy was like, my character really trying to be what those tieflings could be proud of. This game is amazing
It's something I really appreciate, it would be really easy to give them generic names like "Goblin Brawler" or "Bandit Chief". Instead they take the time to give even bandit characters who show up once a little personality and humanity
No because I killed kauga before she could leave the room so I thought I could go out and fight the people to help the tieflings but they’re ere all just dead, I just walked through the camp with my jaw on the ground fr and then I saw bells running and I loaded that save REAL quick
If you talk to them after dealing with the goblins before they leave...they give it away. her Mum says something about "we didn't die today. Tomorrow perhaps, but not today" and the Dad says something about "one sorrow over, another just beginning"

Mol is so scared and it leads her down the wrong path, but she tries to do something to get the kids a home. Umi knows he will die trying, but still grabs a sword. A bunch of them tries to cheer up Rolan and keep him safe. They are mostly orphans, many of them with scars of their own, of course they do some shady stuff, but they are brave little shits in general
If you talk to the survivors at Last Light you find out that the cultists killed him to make an example of him and the only reason they got out was because Rolan stepped up (if you convince him to stay, I've never not done that so idk what happens otherwise).
I've heard that if you don't convince Rolan to stay, none of the tieflings make it to last light, including his siblings. He gets to Baldur's Gate but isn't friendly toward you. I think. I've never done it that way
@@brooklea98 I did it like that the first time and some still survived! Rolan acted like we never met though when I made it to the city and attacked me with Lorroakan

Alfira, bex, dammon, the new warrior girl are at last light, nymessa and desmond(?) are in the prison. Mol is the only kid at the inn. I had no idea. First run that the kids could be saved. But yeah if you dont convince rolan then all the kids die off screen
Gonna be honest since I'm so bad with names I didn't realize who all hadn't made it except for the one little girls parents who I found beofre finding her. Telling her they died was horrible.

What hurts the most is that no matter how well you set them up, They still die. I wish there was an option to go WITH them and save as many as you are capable of.
Just hit act 3 and I will always wonder how Orin found out I saved the tieflings and went out of her way to kill Zevlor. I took her infernal painting and tried throwing it away or burning it and it litterally just keeps reappearing in my camp chest. A memory for the rest of my campaign of how I couldn’t save everybody
Wait what? Wym she tries to kill Zevlor? I never even knew you could see zevlor in act 3 outside of the final sequence where he shows up and you can summon him in the upcoming fights.

The shock I had when I saw his body and the paining D,: I didn’t touch the painting and it just disappeared…completely. A pity tho, it was a good painting. The captured event was horrible but the painting was good
It's even worse if you talk to Alfira about the ambush because she describes what happens to him - He was trying to reassure the children, and as a result was singled out by the Absolutists who took his eyes and tongue before killing him in front of everyone.
It actually made me cry. You can learn he was trying calm down and protect the children, so they killed him first :( I wish you could save him or that the children at least mentioned being sad he was gone.
Made me really sad to see Fist Jelar never makes it. That woman is the only Fist selfless enough to sit with Art Cullagh 24/7 waiting for him to wake up, being as kind and sweet as possible, only to meet an untimely death 😢
🤔 That's the downside to this being a video game. In a D&D campaign, death is something that can be fixed if you've got enough gold to give a priest. (You don't even need the body, though that can help.)
@@chrisb__ to be fair I do think the fact that people in dnd world could be relatively easy to be revived is weakening the charm and meaning of death and tragedy So though I the reason we can’t revive is because that would be way too much work for Larian, but it’s kinda just nice to appreciate these sad moments

I spent years in the early access with the Tieflings. I was so excited to guide them safely to Baldur's Gate since I was positive I'd run into them again. Stumbling on that made my heart wrench. I was so upset.
The number of times I reset act 2 to save as many tieflings as I could. I redid the ketheric thorm battle three times cause I realized I didn’t save the prisoners properly. No regrets at all.
When i first got there and saw all the tieflings. I got up and went to snuggle my dog and just sobbed. I loved them, i wanted them to get to baulders gate, start their new life..but...no. they dont.
I didn't save the teiflings before finishing the gauntlet, because i didnt want all of moonrise to attack me. Then went to save them after and they all be gone. Sad day
Seeing the tiefling bodies when I hit act 2 for first time genuinely broke my heart. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the best way to help each one of them I could. I have to give credit to Larian’s writing team. They KNEW EXACTLY how to tear my heart out

You know this wasn’t to bad, because I had accidentally killed all my tieflings by poking my head in the mountain pass while looking for the goblin camp. So this wasn’t as bad.
Tieflings in Last Light tell you more abt him. I think it's Cerys that says it - that they made an example of him. Took his eyes first, then his tongue...

I found Elegis body in the shadowlands after I told her “your afraid of goblins, pathetic” back in the grove as an effort to get Astarion’s approval and immediately felt terrible😭
The fact that you can#t tell the tieflings to just sneak by the goblins while you avert their attention elsewhere, but they walk straight into the cursed lands only to get massacred.... The only reason for me to keep saving the tieflings is saving Dammon for Karlach....
The fact that instead of you being allowed to accompany them to Baldur’s Gate the way Kagha suggested (Kagha of all people!) they leave alone without even asking! Despite in many scenarios NOW being ALLOWED to stay as long as they need. You find out you’re heading to Moonrise before the party so you could easily have decided to tag along part of the way, then had to shepherd them to Last Light. Doesn’t make sense, that annoys me the most.
I remembered none of these people I barely remembered them so much that when I came upon this massacre my only thought was "oh a bunch of dead people" and left
None of the tieflings out of Last Light made it on my playthrough, thought it'd be better to go int he Mausoleum before Moonrise as that seemed the end of the act, I had no idea until someone told me that was a thing :(
IT's not really the Mausoleum but the pool in which Shadowheart wants to go, which is also where you get a message about how this will trigger some things in the story. Before I got there, I refused to take a single long rest just to make sure none of the prisoners died before I got there (and I tend to roam the whole area and do every sidequest before continuing the main story) which is one of the reasons my relationship with Karlach ended >.> (I didn't immediately take a long rest after Dammon made her able to touch people) Also I had bugged the saving a bit, because I broke the chains of the boat prior to the rescue, and then all npcs were just standing there and the guards appeared out of nowhere (so I HAD TO fight, while you can actually do this without fighting)

I forgot to save Danis from the prison in moonlight. Saw Bex(his wife) in act 3 and felt devastated for not rescuing them. I thought I can still save them after freeing night song but they weren’t there :(

Yeah, my Rogue just took to helping the grove cause it was the best option at the time but man after that killing everything was the goal.

He was the only kid I liked. Well, the one I saved from the harpies is okay too. He wrote me a nice story. The other kids robbed and scammed me.

None of the kids will be at last Light and the only ones captured in moonrise will be Danis (the lovey-dovey one) and Lakrissa (Alfira's gf)

Finding Asharak in particular was heartbreaking. If I were in his shoes, I'd make the same choices he did.

In Act 2 you see only see Mol's kids! In act 3 you see more kids, like the really red one that is training in Act 1!
If you get Rolan to stay then the kids survive
If you talk to Mol about Rapheal after realizing how many are missing it's so much sadder

As a Vengeance Paladin Main, i went absolutely beserk when I found their corpses and even worse when I talked to the survivors at the Light Inn 😔
