Powerful story of a great athlete and mature man of faith. I wish I could have met Freddie on this side and shake his hand but I was only two yrs old at the time he was playing at Texas. I wait for that opportunity on the “other side”. I saw the movie “My All American” on Netflix two months ago for the first time and WOW, what a movie about Freddie!!! Truly an amazing story. If we only had more Freddie Steinmarks to inspire the world - it would be a better place. He rests in heaven with our Lord no doubt. Pax Christi, Freddie. Pray for me, even, please. Thank you. I don't know about that. Osteogenic sarcoma had a very poor cure rate in 1969; chemotherapy was essentally nil value and surgery by itself was very likely insufficient.
