GG. Don't put muscles inside a triangle, that is, don't connect one side of a triangle to another side. These muscles do nothing. A triangle keeps it shape, so these muscles cannot do anything. They just take up brain power.
Here are some tips. 1) If the creature moves in a way you don't want it to and it is too far from doing so to start moving the "correct" way, Quit the simulation and start it again, it will randomize the movements again. 2) If you have a triangle (or any other stable skeletal formation) don't add muscules between the sides of it (like you did in the feet of the Jumpy Thing. It just adds weight and serves no function. 3) don't support with thin long triangles the slight slack in joint-bone connections makes them flip over under even small forces. /| --> |\ \| --> |/
I'm gonna have to cry with tears of joy for pointing that out, Blitz should probably start knowing that muscles between enclosed shapes is NOT a very good idea, and then he should probably position the limbs, legs, or whatever, to their "ready" or "starting" position, like, if i were to create a creature similar to the Frog, i wouldn't make the bones and joints all in 1 gridline, i'd make a 45 or maybe 30 degree angle, something like that, anyhow im starting to feel sick of people not knowing "simple" stuff, but hey! im just a 14 yr old guy who likes to criticize people(youtubers) and TEACH them something, but you can also criticize me all you like, TEACH me a lesson or something, maybe try and theorize that this reply is a spam or a hate comment, just let the smartasses deal with it, and probably with me too, cuz im now late for work... You have to have agonist and antagonist muscles for each movement. You can't expect the arm to flex and then return to a straight position if you ony give the arm a bicep and no tricep to oppose it.
Will Plume your second point is incorrect. In this game, a muscle binds two bones to one another and the brain takes up the task of contraction and expansion, more like pistons. It doesn't matter whether you connect two bones clockwise or counterclockwise, the muscle is the same.

hey blitz , i upgraded a simple animal to be very good at running : if you take the roo and add a joint as a kind of front paw (join it with the head and the kinda but joint ) and then attach two muscles to the back of the creature then it runs perfectly

If you do the car right you can get quite a bit of speed out of it, think train. I got one up to 85.4 fitness, speed of 9.46 m/s, and a distance of 141.9 m. But that was letting each gen run for 15 seconds and it took 450 generations to get there, you need to have patience to get better results. Newest version of the game also let's you change bone and joint weight and muscle strength if you ever wanna give it a try again.

Try putting TONSSS Of muscle on the back and have less muscles in the front leg. Also try having two bones simulating the thigh and the leg. My believe that the back leg will lift the front leg up and it will “walk” If you have the same amount of muscles everywhere with only the thigh as the whole leg it might just stop because it can’t lift its legs and would only be able to scoot
You can turn the caterpillar into a roly-poly by putting a bone strate up in the middle of it's back and attach a mussel from the front and back to the bone in the middle and become a ball
Blitz, you need an axle for the wheels to be in place, and bones that connect to the middle of the wheel to prevent it from moving

Blitz, your problem is you're trying to add legs. Just use the triangles as legs with only the internal muscles. XD
try connecting bones only with muscle. things get really funky and you can get like a 100meters per second :D
