- Join me in the first of 3 different vlogs from May 2019 at PortAventura World in Spain! In this action packed vlog I share on ride footage from all of the major rides at the park including Shambhala, Dragon Khan and Furius Baco. Along with that I share my review of the new Sesame Street: Street Mission dark ride that's new for 2019 in SesamoAventura.
Along with all of that I capture the wonderful atmosphere of PortAventura Park along with sharing highlights from some of the spectacular live entertainment including We Dance On Movies!

Park lacks soul in my opinion. Not surprising seeing its owned by bankers.
i will forever love the casual conversations shawn makes to the camera whilst flying through the air at high speed on a coaster 'oh the suns back out'

I rode the Dragon Khan in 1999! They've added so much more since then, it looks ace! I also remember the 2 water parks called Aqua Leon and Aqua Polis, thanks for sharing this, mate.
This park is very similar to bush gardens in Tampa. Almost the same layout except for more space and more stuff. The gardens doesn’t really have a dark ride it’s all coasters maybe a flume. Anyway the gardens is celebrating its anniversary right now and you can pick up whatever with old rides on it like the very old rhino rush which is now sorta a petting zoo but empty most of the year. I think you can find one online.

Great to see Shambhala again. I loved it when i went last year for the first time. Has to be my top coaster at the mo. Furios Baco was awful, i came off with an horrendous headache. It was like being in an earthquake. I saw the bird man there when i went he was great and we met some of the birds after the show.
Furios Baco for me as someone who loves Launch coasters is too damn rough and intense for me.
One off my favorite parks! Rode Shambala 19 times in a row in 2016 end of the season and the waiting times were only 5 minutes you could walk right true the cue. Number 2 after Taron. Shame the red force wasnt open yet. Going back this summer to ride that one. Awesome vid m8!

I went there this summer and loved it, what a beautiful park! Shambhala and Red Force made it in my top 3 roller coasters, Furius Baco was fun but unfortunately my experience with Dragon Khan sucked. I rode it in the back row and it was a head banging nightmare, I was completely unable to enjoy the ride after the first drop. Hated every second of it. Maybe I just rode it on a bad day, I'll have to go back and see!
Me and my family went to Salou on holiday in 2007, this is the 1st ride we'd been on, didn't know anything about it, we got to the train and watched it set off & we all thought what have we gotten ourselves in for haha, wow I think my stomachs still there in that station lol, the best thing is a few wks after we all got home, my sister did a pregnancy test, she was 6 wks pregnant so she was pregnant without knowing on Furious Baco, my niece is now 13 and funnily enough she loves roller coasters haha
I was at PortAventura once when Shambhala was running 3 trains, the park was open until 11 pm that day (I believe it was the first day of the Halloween event), although that night it was reduced to 2 trains after a breakdown, which I was unlucky enough to be on one of the trains about to enter the station before the screw up.
And yet another great vlog from Port Aventura... I really love your vidios, specially your Vlogs. I will visit this park next year and now I am really excited for it (I don't know if that made sense because I am only 14 and from Northern Germany) keep up the good work

NIM: Aww I love Sesame Street! When my mum lived in Florida when she was a kid she had a cookie monster cuddly toy and when she had to go home she had to pick between her bear and the cookie monster because she couldn't take them both and her mum decided for her to take the bear and now my mum regrets it..... :(
Such little cost for this trip now thats a result. Still a great park even to do on your own. Such great rolercoasters. The POV's are very good to.
Love Dragon Khan. The back row is really amazing. . Shambala wasn't there when I went.

Great park been here 5 times and love it. Some people do give El Diablo a bit of stick but as its a classic arrow we can't forget to ride it. I accualy really enjoy it as as much as there are 10x better coasters *cough*steel vengence*cough* but it's a good coaster in my opinion
THAT WAS DEFINITELY WORTH THE WAIT! £9.99 heading there is not too bad going that, as well as the Europa Park and Pleasure Beach passes, so in fairness it’s a bargain! Really enjoyed this vlog as always, but the main thing is that I hope when I’m back in August that operations will be a lot better than what they were last May, they were awful when we were last there, but that doesn’t spoil a beautiful park, I absolutely love this place to pieces, just a shame about the poor operations!

Great vlog Shawn, and what a great park PortaVentura is, i love that they let you film on the rides as well. That show was realy good as well. They should clamp down on those queue jumpers though, not fair on everyone else.

30.33 - It's a launch...so wish I'd seen this before we went on it in that August....would have saved a few choice words with my son who'd ridden it before and didn't tell me it was a launch!!

I came during the first week of easter. Luckily Shambhala did run 3 trains so made my Express Pass a little useless.

Queue jumpers annoy the hell out of me. Nobody’s waiting in line for the fun of it, what makes them think they’re entitled to do it!? 🤬
I find it hilarious when you can see the Express ticket holders end up in the wrong queue.
The Cinematic Mind OMG THAT HAPPENED TO ME . I was in Ferrari land just beside Portaventura park and we were in a queue for flying dreams ( amazing ride ) and the queue was sooo long about 1/1:30 hours. So we were queuing and this women and her daughter came from behind us and kept pushing forward. Then my mom confronted them and the mother didn’t speak English but the daughter did and she said they had fast pass but they obviously didn’t it was sooo annoying
I mean they make it affordable. It’s the chumps who just complain as they can’t afford them.
Super, late reply. But I live in Spain, and Queue jumping is normal here. Its kinda part of 'Culture' if you wanna call it that, they think if a family member is there, yo can jump ahead to meet them. It is annoying but it is in Spanish blood according to my Spanish m8 Lol

There should be no staggered openings at any park. It should be open for full park hours you paid for to reduce queues.

On dragon Khan at the left there is a sepperate queue and people use it if they have a disabled pass. This could be if they have autism or something similar it's not them quew jumping just trying to let people know. I know you might not be thinking of this but not many people know about this and sometimes people get a bit of abuse while doing this from what I have seen.

i came to portaventura in july 2019 (i live in the uk) and it was a dream of mine to go to a great park like this as soon as i entered the park because of how beautiful it was shambhala is definitely the best ride i’ve ever been on. i experienced the queue jumping on dragon khan and it was terrible

Queue jumpers are so frustrating!! I've never been to PortAventura but found Disneyland Paris was full of people jumping lines! I'm guessing it's common with European parks?

On the tower drop ride when me and my mates realised it was stand up we though w were gonna die and then when it tilted at the top we were gonna cry because everyone thought it broke 😂😂

I agree with you on Street Mission: it is a really nice dark ride. My little boy really enjoyed it. Stampida is a great funny ride except that I got bruises on my thighs.

why does noone complain about the queue jumping!! when i was at thorpe park 2017 some group of teens did and i was gonna complain but 2 girls behind me did thankfully
I experienced a lot of queue jumping at Walt Disney World because large families for some reason couldn't just wait to all go into the queue line together. It was a nightmare.
Aidan Stead totally agree, Disneyland Paris has the worst queue jumpers I have seen .
I remember my visit to PortAventura, it was one of the best weekends of my life, but I remember Stampida to be very jerky and rough towards the end of the ride. I remember getting off the ride with a back and jaw pain...

The Seasame Street attraction looks great! I’m a huge Jim Henson fan and his properties have been criminally underused in parks (mainly muppets at Disney)
I've been in port aventura twice one time in one of the hotels in port aventura and I have tot say when you go in the evening its so great you pay 20 Euros for it and you can enter from 6 tot 12 and some days they have a special day then the park is open to 3 in the night, the park is a must to enter one time in your life just go in the shambhala 😂
The new dark ride looks surprisingly impressive and glad the park has a major dark ride and indoor attraction now. Shame the operations still aren’t great.
Coming here in a few days and it’s just peaked my excitement!

I think PortAventura World is an amazing park. Shawn, if you don’t like the staggered openings, you could spend the day relaxing, then go in the evening, no staggered openings and the que lines are so, short. Hope that helps you for the next time you, go.
That's all good but I like to spend the full day in the parks!
