    Ken and Tabatha, Shawna and I went on our "Last First Date" on March 13th 2003 we were married two years later on July 3rd 2005. When I watch you guys I feel so happy that god opens my eyes how the wife and husband should be that I didn’t know better in the past that I ended my marriage in 2015 but now I know god hates divorce now I grow older and closer to god to know his promises to me and know I failed in my marriage but I don’t want the devil to keep me stuck in me that I am a failure
    I know god restored me and he has better life for me in the future

    Holy Smokes. I’ve been married for 19 years and my husband and I missed each other (like he was staying with a friend of ours and we were there but he was out) over a period of 2 years before we met. I believe God was preparing us both for each other. He is the biggest blessing in my life. AND… I have enjoyed every season of my life my whole life. I’m looking forward to the next phases (50/ 60/ etc). God is so good and He meets me at every stage and blesses my life every day.
    Be blessed, you too. I hope that party was amazing!!!

    Is there a Couples Marriage Bootcamp Retreat? Hint, Hint! It will be great to get out of the house and spend time together with other Christian married couples in Orlando at a resort with no children and cooking. I’m just saying….

    I really appreciate this podcast, overall, but is it me or does he cut her off a lot? Also, just how she praises him and I don’t see the reciprocation. Praying I’m wrong!

    • @mattpieper350
      @mattpieper350 หลายเดือนก่อน

      She could just be naturally quieter or primarily wanting to support him on the podcast so he’s covering/balancing for her in that respect. This is also a talk show type platform where they’re trying to cover complex topics from multiple angles and not just them in daily life/interactions. They’ve been married for 25 years so clearly it works for them and their relationship, but what you need in your relationship may look different and that’s okay and good as well. & all relationships have areas where they can improve upon. As a guy, I can tell he really loves her a lot and you can even tell he remembers all of the small detail about her and their relationship, which tbh is, to some degree, a conscious decision for us. She also seems to find him very entertaining and like she enjoys listening to him. So, I respect your opinion but disagree. When in doubt, pray for them & all of us though! Relationships are hard and we could always do a better job for our partner. God bless you!
      P.S. as a guy, praise is like one of the number one things for us because we really do wanna be the heroes for our wives and families. Women need that validation too, don’t get me wrong, but I think yall recognize that words can be empty to some degree so yall actually really value action that demonstrates what words would convey, which I’m sure he does. Aside from God, our wives are really the only intimate source of love, emotional safety, affection, validation we receive in the world PERIOD. Know who really genuinely cares about us or our wellbeing outside of her? Nobody. So I think it’s also important to consider things from that perspective. You can tell he really appreciates her and that she gives him strength and vice versa.
