The fire is glowing, bright in the night,
Filling Los Angeles with an orange light.
We fold our hands and bow to pray,
“Please, dear God, help Los Angeles today.”
The trees are swaying, the wind blows fast,
We hope the fire in Los Angeles won’t long last.
“Send us rain, to cool the ground,
Bring peace to Los Angeles all around.”
Brave firefighters work all night,
Saving homes in Los Angeles with all their might.
“Keep them safe as they fight the flame,
We pray for Los Angeles in your kind name.”
The hills are glowing, the smoke is high,
We watch the embers rise to the sky.
“Guide the winds and calm the air,
Protect Los Angeles everywhere.”
Neighbors gather, lending a hand,
Together we stand, as one strong band.
“Bless our city, keep it strong,
Help us rebuild where things went wrong.”
The smoke will clear, the skies turn blue,
And sunshine will shine on me and you.
“Thank you, God, for hearing our prayer,
And keeping Los Angeles in your loving care.”
Los Angeles will rise once more,
With hope and strength like times before.
Together we’ll mend, together we’ll grow,
In Los Angeles, love will always show.
