- Last time we found nice gold from the gravels above bedrock. This time we struck the bedrock hard to find More gold. Did we find it? Did the dredge work? How it all turned out, come and see.

The bug net is absolutely life saver... specially for a bearded guy like me. Blackfly's seem to just love my beard.
I really need to get one of those bug nets. What are your plans for next mining season?
Not 100% sure about next season. Propably start at Naruska at early June and then in later same month propably to Lemmenjoki. During fall, mostly at Naruska most likely.
The romantic life, in all its glory! The mosquitoes sure get crazy in the rain... But with good clothes and a sauna after work, who cares? 😊
Did it seem like the bedrock got deeper closer to the creek, or was it about the same level in the zig-zag pattern? Can't wait to see what happens next 😄 Love that exciting feeling when you just think "what if there's a big hippu right here, the bedrock looks so good" 😆
Yeah well the bedrock was lets say more broken, not sure if it got that much deeper anymore really. Might go slowly downwards towards the creek, unfortunately i will never know since cant really dig much closer to the creek than what i am now digging.
@@jomsa have you seen any signs of old workings while digging there by the creek? I remember seeing a historical picture from Kaarreoja that Northminer AU found. They were mining in the creek bed back then, not sure if it was in the 1950s or even older? Always wondered how wide they mined and what part of the creek that was at... ⛏ Looks like there's still a fair amount of gold where you dig at least 😊
@@hokkaidoutaima Yeah i've seen the same pictures. I've seen some signs of workings but spring floods have flattened them quite nicely. The diggings were from 1953 i believe. Where i am at, they did not dig that much, but still quite plenty but sticked mainly to the main channel.
