If you have ever watched Brewmaster Ben's videos he did an experiment by NOT priming a dark beer as they have a reputation for producing gushers. After several months in bottle with no priming sugar the beer was still perfectly carbed! I never have this problem as I have mine all drunk well before this time frame!
I will have to give that video a watch, I’ve not heard of that phenomenon before but it’s helping make a lot of things make sense! I’ll make sure to finish my dark beers quicker from now on!
Note.. Chocolate malt doesn't add chocolate flavour.. Its called chocolate malt due to the temperature its malted at, compared to black malt. Flavour wise, its basically a less harsh black malt, coffee, roasted nut.
The exploding bottle footage was perfect as is!
Ha ha, cheers Todd!

My stout from St Patricks 2021 exploded quite the same way as yours did. Exciting!
Excellent video really like your style. Happy brewing.
Oh gosh sorry to hear that about your bottle!
Very kind of you to say, it means a lot!
Now I want a darker beer on tap, guess I better get brewing!
We're heading into Autumn after all!
Even with the stout explosion! I still need to brew some more stouts
Same! Fingers crossed our next ones don't explode!
It cracks me up how you pronounce "H" p... H you =haach when it's hch. Remove the A you keep adding
Hahaha, I think it might be an accent thing...
