In fact, there are many Muslims who never completely understood arabic so all of the newest translations you have would mean that the Quran has changed and never preserved word for word.

If you learn arabic literature at University in the UK, including Bristol University, Cambridge University, Oxford University (these are the ones the I went to when learning Arabic literature) which are taught by non-Muslim they always bring in the Al Quran, because of the perfection, just like how we learn Shakes Spear writing when doing English literature at school or University because of the eloquence of Shakes Spear writing. B) 'Allah asked, "What prevented/hindered YOU from prostrating to Adam WHEN I COMMANDED THE ANGELS TO?"
C) 'Allah asked, "What prevented/hindered YOU from prostrating to Adam WHEN I HAD COMMANDED THE ANGELS to?

1. There are no capital letters in the Arabic language or in the verse, your making a false claim by sayin "note a YOU" referring to iblis in English translations which means nothing cause again there's no capital letters in Arabic.

All these are multiple translations & NONE of them has "you" in captils for iblis only time "You" was a capital was referring to Allah SWT
2. Surrah Al-Kahf 18:50
وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِءَادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْجِنِّ فَفَسَقَ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِۦٓۗ أَفَتَتَّخِذُونَهُۥ وَذُرِّيَّتَهُۥٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِى وَهُمْ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّۢۚ بِئْسَ لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ بَدَلًا
And ˹remember˺ when We said to the angels, “Prostrate before Adam,” so they all did-but not Iblîs, who was one of the jinn, but he rebelled against the command of his Lord. Would you then take him and his descendants as patrons instead of Me, although they are your enemy? What an evil alternative for the wrongdoers ˹to choose˺!
This verse makes it clear cut that he's not an angel done. Had anywhere in the Quran said that iblis was an angel in clear cut statement then it would've been a contridictions however there isn't.
