The ps2 games are working flawlessly but the ps3 games are getting the error code 80010017 whenever I try to load, I’ve seen this same problem on some subreddits but no one has a clear solution, please help you’re my only hope 🙏

I was successfully able to install cfw to my slim PS3 and I used this tutorial to add Tony Hawk's American Wasteland to my console and it plays perfectly! Just have one question though. I plan on putting more games on my console but I won't have hard drive space for all of them. How can I use an external hard drive to save ISOs on it and play them off my PS3? Do I just plug it in and go or are there addition steps I need to take?
FYI, PS3 ISOs dumped to a folder will play from WebMAN MOD v1.47.45 if that folder is placed in the GAMES folder on hdd0 rather than the PS3ISO folder. This is handy since IRISMAN dumps games to a folder when using the Copy function.

Never liked webman mod seems too convoluted which is kinda ironic when multiman is a all in one tool and Sman (the one I use) that is what webman mod derived from is way more clean
WinSCP is much better than Filezilla as, unlike FileZilla, Winscp does consistency checks and retries failures automatically. Highly recommend Blaine. ☺️ Incredible video as always.
The problem with the PS3 and all consoles is you can’t upgrade your graphics card like you can do on your desktop PC so if your not using your PS3 to unlock trophies on PS3 games then your just wasting your time the PS4 is a lot better so is the PS5 if you try to play PS2 games on the PS3 well get ready for it to break PS4 never broke cause it only played PS4 games but my Xbox one did break cause I was playing Xbox and Xbox 360 games on it learned my lesson

You don’t need to enter port 21 - as it’s the default ftp port FileZilla (or any other ftp client) will always try that unless you specify something else

I can't get my PS3 slim to play PS3 games, but PSX games play. Hen 4.90 and latest version of Webman. If I attempt to start any game without updating, they will start but go back to the XMB menu with an error message. If I update a game and start it, I'll get a black screen; or with Dark Sector it'll get to save indicator message screen and stop there but the system doesn't crash. If I close the game, system will reboot. Any other game causes the system to crash.
You got me set up with my PS3 and was able to jailbreak it thanks to your other guides, so thank you, I truly appreciate it. I do have one issue though, if you or anyone in the comments could help me out it would be fantastic. The issue is that I can't transfer PS2 games that are over 4GB to my FAT32 USB, this issue is non existent with my PS3 games as (PS3 Disc Dumper) breaks the game into folders which can be transferred to FAT32. Is there a thing like (PS3 disc dumper) that I can use on PS2 games that are over 4GB? I tried to use FTP like FileZilla but it won't find my PS3. Also I encrypt and turn the PS2 games into pkg files so I can play them on my PS3, would this process of encrypting and packaging ISO have to stop in the event I find a tool like PS3 Disc dumper or would this step still be necessary?
You can totally transfer PS2 games over 4 gig in size, just format your stick or hdd to NTFS, load up Multi man and scroll to the furthest column on the left, now if you're using MMCM switch to normal Multi man, now scroll down in that same column and you should see enable PFS driver so click on that, now Multi man will detect your NTFS drive, now load up Multi man file manager and copy and paste your iso's to the PS3's PS2ISO folder. Web man on the xmb should list them, and the disc image will be gold, split PS2 iso's never loaded for me but they all worked using that method. Once you're finished copying remember to switch back to MMCM. Happy PS2 gaming

I will absolutely dig into it. I had a video on PKGi for the PS3 a year and a half or so ago, and it and NoPayStation are the go-to places for content. However, TH-cam removed the video, so I'll have to do some digging to make sure they won't have an issue with getting DLC.

Hey Blaine great video! I've got an odd issue here. After installing full version of WebMan, it wouldn't let me get into the webman games folder in xmb. I tried restarting it, reinstalling, refreshing, i checked and it was the latest version installed compatible with my slim cfw, but to no avail. The folder to access settings like webman setup or to access the games from xmb just didn't work at all, like i couldnt even get into it. If anyone else could help with the issue that would be great. Any possible solutions are appreciated!

You get the error code because your PS3 iso is encrypted, which means you have to decrypt it. Just search up how to decrypt ps3 iso on TH-cam
Bruh I finally got the iso on ps3 which took 3 hours to download and now I'm stuck with the same problem. 😑

webman and webman mod never truly worked for me on my cfw ps3 correctly, im using multiman now for playing ps1+2+3 which works flawlessly
Have you tried different versions of Webman? I've had it since it 1st came out and only had issue with 1 update.
So would you recommend this rather than Multiman right now for any particular reason? Love your videos btw!
