I am just about to buy my first banjo, in fact my first instrument ever, I am 53 now
Lets see how that works out 😁
Hope to learn a lot from your channel.
Awesome!
Love to see you back! 🎉
I've always thought Clancy makes great looking necks when I see them for sale over on BanjoHangout and have been impressed with his parts banjos for the price. You got a good one!

@@jenyatungus6130 Thank you!
You is back! Cool cool😎
Mason, if you don't pursue a music career in Nashville, it will be a crying shame.
It’s what I’m planning to do, we’ll see what happens 😆
Can you do dawggy mountain breakdown? Brings back some serious memories
It’s been 2,000 years…..
@@Mr.Mandolin That may be slightly exaggerated but…
That's one good sounding banjo! I love the banjo, and your channel has been very helpful to me on learning banjo and mandolin. I have an 1960's Harmony (Chicago) banjo that has a bakelite rim and resonator, I like it a lot, but it has issues with the frets and tuners that make it quite hard to play, and an overall dark tone that doesn't work too well for bluegrass. I want to upgrade to a banjo that would have a better, crisper, tone, better playability, and one that won't break the bank, preferably well under $1000. Would there be any banjos that you would recommend? Thank you!
@@LighthouseGospelBand It’s gonna be hard to find a really nice one for under $1000, that’s kinda the point where they start getting really good. The RK Songster is around $600 and is a solid banjo that also looks great, it’s not constructed like a pro banjo and doesn’t quite have the sound, but again it’s nearly impossible to find one in that price range unless you find a great deal on a used one
@@MasonCroneMusic Thanks for telling me about the RK Songster, it sounds a lot better than mine. I am also curious what your opinion would be of a Kasuga Lawsuit "Bowtie" Banjo, They were Gibson copies that were made in the 1970's, and I know a feller that may sell me one for a good deal.
@@LighthouseGospelBand I’ve never played one, it’s probably decent for the price though
We'll see how many banjos you can purchase in the time it takes me to upload something
Not planning to buy anymore in the near future so I guess it just depends on how long you take to upload something…
@@MasonCroneMusic you really think you plan to buy banjos?
@@johnpaulhumphrey2981 I’m sure I’ll buy another one eventually but it’s not in the current plans… Of course history has proven that can quickly change 😂
@@MasonCroneMusic You are soon going to buy a storage locker soon to buy more banjos
There's no reason to ever spend more than $100 on a banjo...🧐
Well you basically can’t get one for less than that nowadays… Unless that’s your point 😂
Yes there is 😭
@@JohnHicksPicks only halfway kidding...
Jk👀😂😂
This puts my China Banjo to shame
@@pigeon5700 I played one of those for my first several years, you can definitely work with them
@@MasonCroneMusic For sure it sounds quite nice after some adjustments
Sounds great Mason!👍 I'm still waiting to find my lifetime banjo. I played several at Elderly Instruments Saturday. There were a couple I really liked. Got to meet Jim Pankey as well..🪕🪕
@@michiganwoodsman8760 That’s awesome, I actually live in the same county as Jim
How could you play a song in the key o E on the banjo.
