it’s such a shame the shows still going instead of it being a solid body of work everybody can all look back on and be proud of, those first two seasons are a masterpiece
While I agree that season 1 and 2 are a masterpiece and easily my favourite seasons for story, psychology and nostalgia when looking back, I would strongly disagree with the notion that The Walking Dead in its 11 season arc isn't an excellent "body of work", for me it got way better with each season narratively in terms of progression, the characters that came and went were so unique and captivating, the story arcs from Shanes psychological decline, the Governer, The prison, Alexandria, All out War, Whisperers and then the Commonwealth, staying relatively faithful to its source material while also keeping it fresh and new, it was a flawless show for me and thats coming from someone that was genuinely thinking about quitting watching when Andrew Lincoln left but somehow with the Whisperer arc, this show still managed to keep me hooked until the end. Now we have Dead City, Daryl Dixon and the Rick and Michonne spin offs to round out the main universe and ideally end with a reunion? SIGN ME UP! Just my 2 cents, peace ✌
Sarah wants so badly to go in and spill the tea about what was happening during this time. She is very loyal to Frank Darabont, and I respect her so much for that. I often wonder what this show would’ve been like if Frank was never fired and the budget was never cut. These are such gorgeous, talented, cool people.
Well the most obvious thing is Frank wouldn’t let them do what they did to Sarah’s character. I mean Lori is so inconsistent in S2, her motivations are unclear. She just does not make sense in S2.
As a whole it’s an excellent show, but it falls out of level as those were complete stories that knew exactly where they were going, and had phenomenal conclusions
Shane was great for the early seasons, and Jon was perfect. But he served his purpose as a character, it was either Him or Rick, and we learn Rick is the guy that is best to lead the group. It worked out well as he was able to put his talents on display on a massive cable show getting his name out there and opening doors to movies, and of course the punisher. Lol acting as Shane def got him the castle job
In the comic it was different and they don't HAVE to do things exactly the same as in the comic, they can change it up a bit...wish they would've and kept him :(
