Thank you for this brief history lesson which I find insightful. I visited Como once in the 1970's and remember the bitter cold and it was summer. I knew a woman whose parents operated Johnson's restaurant in Gunnison during the narrow gage years.
Good Work! BTW Como still has some rail buildings standing , With the constant winds and crazy weather,It’s amazing that anything this old still stands in that area:)
I love the fact they kept the ROW and turned it into a road. So cool to be able to just drive my car along the old DSP&P!

Como has even an operable steam engine ,former Klondike Mining Rr #4 and some exciting plans for the future😉
