I'm just happy to see H6 getting some love and attention given it's current reputation seems somehow even lower than it used to be - very interested in this cut that is being put together here and quite enjoy the title sequence as shown here.
@@MICHAELMYERSKILLS-xv3eb I hate it with all my life . Ruined everything . Making Jamie pregnant and trying to make Micheal the father was horrible and gross.
Wow im impressed with the flashback of Halloween night of 1988 and Halloween night of 1989 from the last time anyone had heard of Jamie and Michael. It looks very good and almost studio quality , i whish they did a sequence just like as done here..such a shame .
I never understood why they just dropped the pumpkin credits from the first three films. It gave the series its own identity and, in the case of the first two films, it reflects on Michael's own nature. I like that the newer films brought them back. Especially the latter two with the vintage, grainy filter.
I thought the opening credit sequence to Halloween 4 was really effective though. It evoked the atmosphere and feel of autumn and the Halloween holiday. And Halloween 5 did use a pumpkin motif for it's opening credits, it was just from the inside of a pumpkin as it was getting carved. ;)
@@TheKennethECarper Halloween 4's intro indeed is great. Like a dark omen that evil is about to rise again. With that being said, I can't stand the opening from Halloween 5. Mostly because I think the quick flashes are annoying and too try hard. I appreciate their intent though.
You are such a rugrat I swear. There is NO need to constantly have the same thing in every movie. I think three movies of them doing that pumpkin element was enough. Be glad you even got a brief comeback of it in Halloween 5 with the slash carving, which you oddly don't like but let's be clear, it was a new era following from the gory and flashy trend of movies like Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street so it works, and you ought to deal with it. But enough is enough is enough. Let the movies have their own unique intros going forward instead of relying on what was there the first few times.
@@devontehuntley6274 Uh, Idk, maybe because the film series is titled "Halloween" and maybe having something related with a pumpkin really fits that aesthetic? I mean, the 3 and 5 were different from the first two films but still kept the Halloween motif present (just that one did it better than the other), so they could try that at least. It's better than nothing, which films like 6, H20, Resurrection, both remakes did, because it doesn't feel like it's honoring the holiday the series is named after. Halloween H20 is already grating enough, given that it's an anniversary film. Doesn't help that the film barely feels like it's Halloween season outside some decorations.
@@struggler6864 A Halloween opening with a pumpkin shouldn't be the only thing to signify these movies being Halloween movies though. The earlier entries made sense because the series was new at the time. But as the series progressed, it became something that could explore more themes and ideas, the openings being one of them. H4 started off with a very seasonal vibe and that soundtrack blend with it was amazing. I'd take that over a simple pumpkin one anyway. H6s opening called for something with more tension given how dark and violent the movie was and the opening gives us this notion. I like H2Os display of the wall newspapers and pictures detailing Michael and all he's done. Resurrections opening is OKAY, something simple and not spectacular but tolerable. I only wished they spliced in footage from the alternate opening with the Myers family home video before Judith died which never should have been cut. Having all these movies with the same sort of opening would have been annoying and redundant as much as the F13 movies kept giving us that same simple black background and white written credits for the first seven movies minus the third one. The pumpkin openings for Halloween annoyed me endlessly with the Blumhouse movies and they weren't good ones either given how rushed and generic they looked. It was something I could see a fan film having which was jarring. Just goes to show the style had worn out and did not quite work for those movies as homaging as they are.
That was both an excellent and really well created video. I loved watching this opening better than both versions of Halloween 6 (with Donald Pleasance's opening monologue as a close second).
Great new opening. The only minor nitpick is J.C. Brandy's name (Jamie Lloyd recast) wasn't in the opening credits. Other than that, I still love this alternate opening and title sequence. 🎃👍
I have always wondered: How is it possible, that we, the fans manage to do perfectly well, and what is supposed to be done in the final edits of the movies themselves? Why is it always us, who always end up doing, what is supposed to be done in the movie studios; especially the ones producing the Halloween saga? What do those in charge of producing, editing, writing and directing the movies lack, that they end up being so bad? What do we have, that they don't have? Does it cost too much work and money, to make a montage, as beautiful as this one? Does anyone know the answer? Please.
The sad part about this is Jamie Lloyd was 9-10 in Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers and since Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995) takes place in 1995, She was 15 when she had her baby
love this intro.. the cut i did also takes elements from both the producers and theatrical cuts.. more from the producers but i took out the ruins freezing michael, and put the more bloddy kills and him turning on the cult and ultimatley getting beat with the pipe lol.. i also removed any reference to JC Brandy being Jamie, so the implication is shes just some young girl they put a clone michael baby in.. and then i used snippets from H2 of Danielle Harris getting attacked/killed as a flashback during Loomis talking to Mrs strode to explain Jamies fate.. and baby steven is actually just michaels baby.. and im gonna eventually (somehow) recut Ends and make it "the son of michael myers" in keeping with the pink panther titles lol .... (and yes im merging 2018 and kills to make "the trail" lmao)
