Delhi Public School, Ruby Park, Kolkata :: 8th May 2023

The 162nd Birth Anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore was observed on 8th May with much zeal and zest by the students of DPS Ruby Park, Kolkata. The tribute to the first Nobel laureate of India commenced with floral offerings to Gurudev accompanied by instrumental music. The programme was inaugurated with Rabindrasangeet ‘Nabo Anonde Jago’ followed by the solemn speech from the Principal Mrs. Joyoti Chaudhuri. The students put up a stellar performance with a soiree comprising recitation of poems from Gitanjali coupled with song and dance. Through their offerings, the students could honour Tagore's memory by carrying his message of creativity, individuality, and spirituality forward. The colourful programme came to an end with the vote of thanks from the Vice Head Boy, Swapnil Dey followed by the national anthem.
