The gaming keypad is great when you're a laptop user, you can take it on the go and play games even on not so big spaces without sacrificing any of the feel of a mechanical keyboard. Also when you don't have to worry about the full size keyboard cause it's always gonna be sitting there in your laptop for when you need to login, etc.
I'm also considering the gaming keypad as a way to experiment with mechanical keyboard switches. The full size keyboard gets the firm tactile switches, then maybe try out the lighter linear switches in this one.
The one handed keyboard is really great for hot keys/keybinds. My dad uses one when he paid fortnite and he uses it for building since it’s tricky on pc for beginners, it’s done wonders for him
I just bought a 1 handed keyboard because didn’t have enough room on the first floor for my desk, so I set my pc and second monitor up on a small table next to my couch. I put my main monitor on a monitor arm and it swings out in front of the loveseat you can recline the chair and angle the monitor so it’s comfy. I have a board with a mouse pad attached to it on my right arm test, and the single hand keyboard on the left and just lay back to play games.
when you play shooters with low sens, you need space for your mouse. that's where the one handed keyboard comes in. i have a tkl and i was constantly hitting it with my mouse. that problem dissapeared when i got a 1 handed keyboard. using it only for warzone and nothing more. for that, it does it's job perfectly
Well, I think the 40% (half) keyboard is going to be the best for me, cos I game on a laptops and I can just put it beside the laptop (to the left) and have my mouse to the right. Instead of having to push the laptop back to be able to fit a keyboard in front of it.
Tilt the keyboard like a pro 90 degree for extra try hard 45 degree for casual pro 20 degree for extra small space Or Use stand/something with height for floating keyboard so mouse can go under the numpad side
I just saw your building vid like today and I came to your channel and it’s amazing. I have a whole sized keyboard but I’ve been kinda wishing for a 60%. But I don’t have a giant mouse pad like that or a gaming mouse so I always keep it on the small pad so I don’t have an issue. Anyways you’ve earned a subscriber. Keep making great vids man!
Helpful review I was stuck & undecided between 40% keypad & 60% keyboard cuz I rly lack of a space on my desk also I have full operational keyboard with numpad! After watching your video 60% keyboard make more sense for me when I have session gaming So thank you my friend!
Awesome video. I've been doing some research, and I didn't think I'd come across a video with everything I needed in it lol, so thanks! I have really gotten into Deep Rock Galactic on my Xbox, and I've been using a standard MnK. I think I'll try the one-handed keypad, as I don't really need to type for it or anything. The dwarves do all the talking lol. ROCK AND STONE!
I like the one handed keyboard cus doesn't take alot of space and smooth keys good for gaming awesome RBG and is anti-ghosting not that much keys so I can press them easily it has a hand rest and more
i recommend the 65% is perfect for going places, speedtyping, and gaming!!! it just feels more neutral and make sure to get a hot swappable one if your picky on how the buttons sounds and feels ! im a hardcore gamer i know these things!!!!!!!!
As a left handed, someone that doesn't plat fps games for s living, and who has really long arms, I am very happy with a full size keyboard without tilting it.
I've had a 60 for a little bit and definitely the best option for fortnite but that's the only thing I use it for so I can't say nothing about other games
I am glad I Found this video because I am looking into buying parts for building a pc and am currently deciding on keyboards still do not know which to buy tho
The one handed keyboard is best for travel. A gaming laptop with a small mouse pad, mouse, and a one handed mechanical keybaord is the best way to game on the go in my opinion!
Hahaha I'm watching this because I got a redragon one handed "gaming" keyboard just 'cause it looked cool. It's coming in today, so i can't say yet how well it works, but yeah. You got me. I will say that the macro buttons were a big plus for me, which is how I log into my games (via macro buttons) so not having the full keyboard isn't a dealbreaker for me.
Years ago i used to use a nostromo (early one handed keyboard that was the early version of the razer one handed keyboards) and loved it. I used it for games AND for design.it was great in photoshop and illustrator. Even some edit programs. I used it in addition to a regular sized keyboard.I’m considering getting another one for games and to also use it for music. My music program has so many shortcuts and it’s a pain sometimes to reach for the regular keyboard all the time. I think having one hand on a gaming mouse with macros and one hand on the keypad with macros will be enough to bind all of my most common shortcuts. I also already have midi controllers but they only cover a few certain functions.p and they aren’t set up to remap key functions.
The one-handed keyboards are actually great for if you want to play mouse and keyboard on a console that's why I want one and I'm going to get one soon. You have to use the controller for a lot of other stuff anyways so why not just have that little one-handed keyboard it's actually very convenient, just a thought.
with key boards and gaming i am one of those players who are both lucky and hampered by choice in mice im left handed and using a mouse right handed feels just un natural i use depending on games a half gaming board with number pad beside to a full keyboard but in general it depends on the game what is better and setup becomes personal
I personally have a tkl keyboard because I feel like I don’t need the num pad, but 60% is too smalll for me because I need da fn keys. :) I have a Fnatic Ministreak with da red silent switch. It’s so good for under $100
Anderswan Lin Nice! Yeah I have seen some 60 and 65% keyboards that actually add a row of function keys on top. that will probably be what I will try out next. But I am happy with my TKL too.
iStay Krazy I like it alot and its still running great! But I still haven’t figured out why when I run games with steam why the fps is so low compared to other people’s builds with the same setup =/
Akashi Seijuro Im pretty sure I have done all of that already, but I will check again. and yes the first time i played a game it was like 2fps and I was like “this cant be right” and I still had the hdmi in the motherboard from when I was setting everything up, so i swapped it over and it was blazing fast 🔥
Akashi Seijuro Yes. I was running borderlands 3 on the epic games platform and it has no problem going over 144, especially in the menus. but on steam games it hits a wall at 144.
Never used number pad, never used arrow keys, never used function keys, only had function keys used against me when someone pressed alt f4 when I was in a game. So -60% for me
i play with my laptop and i see nothing in it its too far from my eyes and now i dont know should i buy a one handed keyboard or not because i chat in games most of the time and here we go i should move my full keyboard during the game just for typing
40% keyboard does exist, with full alphabets. This can be exclusively called a one handed gaming keyboard. Other keyboard of this type are the two handed split keyboards, with full alphabets and a left unit and a right unit.
i already have a full size membrane gaming keyboard and I was planning to get a mechanical gaming keyboard so I think i'll go with a 65% keyboard only for gaming
Now im going to buy a keyboard and im thinking between hyperx alloy core and hyperx alloy origins core, but i like alloy core more bcs it has numpad. For me numpad is important bcs i dont only play games, i have homeworks on excel, autocad, catia etc. and its much faster and comfortable to use numpad. But the biggest difference is that alloy oringins core is mechanical, but alloy core isnt, but i dont want to spend too much money bcs alloy core is much more cheaper and it has numpad, alloy origins core is only mechanical, but it doesnt have numpad and it cost more. Also i dont play games competitively, im not streamer, youtuber or professional player which play on tournaments, im just casual gamer so i think i wouldnt notice between that 2 switches. Also i like i said before i dont want to spend too much money so i dont want to buy tkl and full size keyboard and then switch both of them when i game or when i have to do some work, thats ridiculous
Zaiah Plays Redragon keyboards are fine, especially if you don’t want to spend alot of money. but if you have around $50 to spend I would get a tenkeyless corsair. They quality is alot better.
i like the 10 keyless since on my laptop the keys never worked anyway but granted i would have to push my laptop back so im thinking 40% but still kinda wanting the 10 keyless if any of you guys can help me with my decision pls do i don't only game i use my latop for work too
Same, I honestly think that full size keyboards should just go out of production, because I know no one that uses the numpad except for accountants that just bought a separate numpad anyway.

Skip the 65% and go for a 75%. They have your function row and arrow keys in the same form as the 65% just one row taller
In my opinion skip the bullshit get the 104 key all the other ones just make your mouse position look like a joke (i have quite long arms though)
0:52 when your left handed
His camera is inverted

Thanks! Whenever I am having a tough day and I come across a comment like this it really makes my day!
Matt's Tech & Vlogs well i’m glad, just getting a comment and a heart makes my day. continue the vids!
Personally I like tkl because they have arrow keys but it is not as big as a full size
Can we fly helicopter using this in gta 5
when DCS World has more than 500 keybinds for 1 aircraft
i like how your pfp matches the meme

I need the number pad to play Garry's Mod and OBS recording and streaming hotkeys

I like how you skipped 75% keyboards which is like one of the most used keyboard sizes for gaming
How do u even type in ur password for the one hand keyboard
You dont, you have to use another keyboard XD
password made for the small board
@tetrisbit You're an Intellectual I see
Its meant for gaming mostly
the little one is the best one for low sense users. however, I would prefer another type of switches, since the RomerG are the best ones from my POV
I feel like ima go for a 60% like the gk61
That one handed one I’m thinking of getting to use on my PS5 or series X
I like one handed because I'm not used to mnk and having less keys is less confusing thats the point of them

The only thing about the half keyboard doesn't have 7,8,9 for minecraft pvp's
