@AfzalHussein For some CVs did you get some of your friends from Goldman Sachs to do the CV surgery or did you deal with all CVs alone?
Done them all myself. What makes you ask?
@@AfzalHussein Quite impressive to have been able to juggle your job at GS and do all of them by yourself ! I used your services back in the days in 2017 . In your replies to my email, the pronoun 'We' was used and the email was signed 'Official CV Doctor Team'. Plus, as far as I recall I have the impression I read somewhere either on CV Doctor website or wherever it might be, that a team of analysts or colleagues from GS were part of CV Doctor team. Anyway, I got much more interviews when I had my CV reviewed by you compared to when my CV was modified by so-called 'CV experts' with whom the price to pay was sky-high for a student.
Oh wow, haha! Thanks! Yeah, I used to write 'We' and 'Team' rather than 'I' to make it sound like a more 'legit' business. But it was just a 1 man show lol. Hope you're doing well and thanks for using CV Doctor back then! 👍🏽

Hi , I am an economics students in Turkiye and I will be graduating next year , I am hoping to get into investment banking . I also have a side hustle that I started two years ago , I am selling online exam prep courses to high school student . I had a few hundred students sign up to my courses which is very promising , I plan to scale this business while working in investment banking . Your video was very informative for me , because this is a topic that I have been thinking about . Afzal how do think employers would react to this if I added it to my CV , I thought it would make me more impressive to employers since I started a small business , or could it create a negative impression . Do you think this is something that I could bring up in job interviews ? or should I keep it to myself .

It’s definitely worth mentioning! Be proud of the numbers, but I wouldn’t say you plan to scale whilst working in IB, instead you should try and scale it starting now then you can say that scaling up is in progress :) side hustles are a very good point to talk about in interviews too
Congrats! That's great and I'm glad you found this video informative. My advice would be to include it on your CV because there will naturally be many transferable skills from such an experience that will help you in banking. However, if ever asked in an interview whether you plan to continue running the business be sure to give them the impression that the job you're interviewing for is your priority and the side project/business/hustle was just for fun. No employees/employer wants a distracted candidate.
