Nice video. Driven it a few times. Just remember it’s a road so you gotta keep to the left - even if that side is unpleasant - or get off it to give way to oncoming. When approaching bend or rise you can’t see around, go to the left. Sometimes the good side of the road will be on the left, sometimes the other. Bottom line is trucks and others use it everyday to go about their business and cannot be expected to yield to others on the incorrect side of the road

Personally I think the caravan industry needs to improve quality as a whole….. starting with the quality of the appliances installed , A lot of appliances installed are just cheap .
Fair call! Or either make caravans for the black road, or 4x4 camper trailers.
A common dominator on you tube are caravans going where they are not made for??

We did the Gibb in 2017, towing a Johnnos camper. The corrugattions are unforgiving. We lost our trailer plug and some wiring, AGM battery in camper caught fire and our GU radiator failed coming into Bell Gorge and ended up with a cracked head. We managed to limp back to Adelaide after using a crack filler compound 😔😔👍👍
Must be the time of year for van damage we’ve got people in the van park where we live in alice waiting for for parts so they can continue there trip but all in good spirits and it’s great having a beer and a yarn with like minded people really enjoying your WA adventure safe travels 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

RE LOST DRONE!!. Oce you find it...TIE FISHING LINE WITH HOOKS ONTO YOUR DRONE .fly over to LOST DRONE, BOB UP AND DOWN TILL YOU HOOK IT...and drag it back to banks on your side of river....OR...once see it, get rods out with triple hooks and cast the lines with hooks to hook it and then wind back the drone

I agree dometic eq has really fallen off in quality to the point I will not have any of their eq in my new 23’ off-road van. You guy’s enjoy and have a blast , it is awesome up there. Stay safe and stay free.

We saw the biggest croc up at Wyndham in the swamp out of town the locals said it was a bit over 4.5 m it was huge just 30 feet on the other side of the swamp all the bird live unbelievable

Offroad van means unsealed road not goat track. Cannot believe what people expect from a plywood box held together with staples and glue. Have been towing the same offroad van for 13yrs around Aussie and Tassie and everywhere inbetween no major issues whatsoever. Luv my ISLAND STAR OFFROAD. PS the first thing you throw out is the 3way fridge no probs.
Had my 150ltr 3way permanent on road for ten years still runs like new 😎 I do only run it on gas tho
So is your 2011 van is made from stainless steel and armour plate? You say you tow it everywhere but criticise others for doing the same.
@@whitedog7897 no never always keep the offroad van on quality roads.Allways secure the van and travel goat tracks without ,means a lot of backtracking but me van is still in good shape.
I agree Dometic is rubbish.
