    Well done to the specials dealing with the cyclist.

      No, he was aware of his rights.

      +JorRob001 I said well done to the specials with handling the situation whether or not he knew his rights. . . . .

      @@JorRob001 Actually he had no rights in that situation. Common Law has no rights or validity. And he was abominably rude.

      Sin of Damnation ... I agree absolutely...typically arrogant half-qualified arsewipe; he should have been taken quietly around the nearest corner and given a good kicking, but this is still a civilised nation and we do, (for now at least), extend some degree of tolerance to pretentious wankers...alas...

      JorRob001 Oh Yes He is & that special probably wanted to give him more than just a clip around the ears.

      The cyclist is aware. Them laws do not apply to us it is not common law. Read it up

    All the cyclist had to do was listen. And he shouldn’t have been riding without lights on the road. If he’s not interested in protecting his own self on the road, he should consider how stressful it would be for a motorist that hit him because he hadn’t been seen. Selfish.

    what l don't understand is that their police work is so much more interesting than their full time jobs. Why don't they become permanent police officers? Beats working in customer service or swimming pool attendant.

      Paul Fitzpatrick over 15,000 people apply for each position in the UK!

      +Mathew Firth There are approximately 140,000 police in the UK so that means 2,100,000,000 applications for those jobs. that's about 32 times the population of the UK. haha I think you have been reading the internet again.

    Why did they have to caution him at the end just before he left?

    • @user-co9ye6yl4v
      @user-co9ye6yl4v ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Caution doesn’t always equal arrest. It’s a way for someone to provide a explanation for the alleged offence that which they will later bring up in court.

    9:24 He doesn't need to explain why "prompt and effective investigation" is enough! Specifically they would need to be interviewed and would be unlikely to attend voluntarily.

    • @marksin4166
      @marksin4166 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Prompt and effective investigations is not enough alone as necessity. I would go for prevent further damage to property.

    • @OhhBiscuits
      @OhhBiscuits 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well, it is common knowledge that Police Officers are above the law in certain situations. They had to get out quickly to stop the suspects from running off; seat belts would hinder them.
