You guys should go to Car Wreck trail in Aliso Viejo, Orange County. There is a vintage car wrecked at the bottom of the trail many miles from any drivable road. It is an oddity in itself.
I am from the UK and I am a subscriber to many such sites. However I am really pleased with how you guys carry out your work. You provide history, additional information and are very polite and professional. I am currently working my way through your content and am very impressed. I wish both of you the very best in life, you are doing a great job. Best wishes from England.
Great series Bethany and Drew - Gordy here from the Philippines, a Manhattan Beach ex-pat. Since the days of Ralph Story's Los Angeles (of which I was on for an interview in 1964), to Huell Howzer, we now have another great series Oddity Odysseys, and I, along with thousands, thank you. Well done, informative, a tad sarcastic (I LOVE IT), I'm hooked. One problem is I cannot seem to donate to your show because I only have a Philippine Bankng Account and it won't accept. If there's another way, comment here how a foreign bank can contribute and I will....not just for me, but for those that miss the previously mentioned Caifornia story-tellers .. a breed we must continue. My suggestion for an episode is a bit of an oddity that has sparked much debate. West of Topanga Canyon Blvd and over the SImi Freeway (118) is a very expensive bridge that goes from 'South Nowhere' to 'North Nowhere'. I've been trying to build the story of that bridge but have lost touch at some point after the famous Iverson Ranch, of classic cowboy movie fame. The iverson family fell into 'camps' after a fashion and the bridge had something to do with that, or at least the bridges usefulness did. Would be a great story I think. I've subscribed and requested notifications and with you both much success in your series. Hope to hear form you soon. Gordy Ross
Hi Gordy! We're honored you would leave such a wonderful comment and take the time to share an Oddity suggestion. It definitely sounds like an avenue that we'll have to research. Of course, we are big fans of Huell Howser and we're so glad you're here. :) Per your inquiry about donations, we do have a PayPal that accepts funds at: oddityodysseys@gmail.com - please feel free to drop us a line anytime at that email address as well. Thanks again and have a wonderful rest of your week! - B & D
Great to see you in my neck of the woods!! ❤️ I love your channel and am so confused as to why you guys don't have a million plus subbies!! It will happen!! I've lived in the area my whole life and did not know about the trolls.. Thanks for sharing!!
Great episode with lots of beautiful shots of the Bay Bridge and surroundings. Once again, I am IN the adventure, not just watching it. Oddity Odysseys is always and without fail done with class, quality and humor. Keep it up!
The first Troll was placed under the bridge secretly. the steel workers snuck him on and welded him in place with out ant officials knowing about him. The current Troll had committee meetings discuss and plan for him to be allowed on the bridge.
Hey, you're on Treasure Island! I used to make movies out there. Bicentennial Man anyone? The troll was a lot more accessible on the old span. [did you notice that the bike path only goes halfway across the bay? That took top tier planning let me tell you!
I lived(Pacifica) and worked(Redwood City) in the bay are in 1989, and was present for the loma prieta quake, when a section of the (old) bay bridge collapsed, and the marina district was all but in ruins...
This was a pretty cool episode, I’ve been wanting to vlog in San Fran for a while now. You guys should explore the abandoned pool in Griffith park next. It’s a very interesting spot and kinda easy to get to...kinda haha
This video is about the Bay bridge - it goes from west to east from San F to Oakland. The Golden Gate bridge goes from south to north between San F to Napa Valley. 2 different bridges!!
LOL. You missed the better story on TI. That big white building (when you first come down the hill) is the old PanAm terminal. Sea planes would dock at TI and then passengers would be taken by ferry to SF. Lucas has a sound stage in one of the old hangars. The World's Fair was also hosted on TI. PS: Love your show :) PPS: Bethany (sp?) is a better actor :)
Okay.... (1) Once again, very well done! Being a fan of Urban Legends, I love stories like this! (2) I was kind of expecting to see Drew rappelling off the side of the Bay Bridge to get that perfect shot, but maybe next time... (3) Nice Tarantino-esque shot from the trunk ;) (4) When I shoot my long-awaited "Hunt for The Chupacabra" video series, I'm calling you two to join me! (5) As always, safe travels out there :)
A GROUP OF STEEL WORKERS?! #Anvils Hell Freddy Rodriguez made the troll he’s a blacksmith from Columbia. Doing the work out of Micheal Bondi’s shop in Richmond. Please give credit we’re it is due. Maybe edit and repost video with the changes? I’m not trying to be a troll right now but understand this guy is a good person, humble artisan a good friend and deserves some recognition. Thank you to all that read this.
I just started watching your videos. Some interesting things on here. Now I have watched several videos, kinda’ neat. Keep em’ coming.
Hi Mike! Thanks for checking them out! Hope you have a great holiday season. :)

I remember the quake of 89 well as a bay area native. I walked across the new span when it opened! Now I need to go back and find Mr. Troll!
Great episode with lots of beautiful shots of the Bay Bridge and surroundings. Once again, I am IN the adventure, not just watching it. Oddity Odysseys is always and without fail done with class, quality and humor. Keep it up!

Always enjoy seeing your videos. I can't wait to see what other secrets you find in California

That's so cool. Now you need to visit the Fremont St. troll in Seattle.
Wow that was sooo cool to see. I never knew of that there!
You should come to Sacramento and do the underground tour of Old Sacramento

Driving cross bridge..,,see folks pointing at supports.....drive faster....lol
Good stuff, as always. Thanks from the UK.
We'll need some good suggestions for the UK in hopes of venturing out there for episodes one day. :)

We actually came across that while hiking one day! But didn't have the camera. Next time for sure.
When did they paint the golden gate bridge white?
This video is about the Bay bridge - it goes from west to east from San F to Oakland. The Golden Gate bridge goes from south to north between San F to Napa Valley. 2 different bridges!!
You guys should go visit Watts Towers, they're made entirely out of trash. Should be interesting.
Definitely on our list!
"What is your favorite colour??"
This was really good, thank you
I love your vlogs. I'm going to switch up my patreon donations to you two. Great work as always!
Thank you so much!
There's a old fort under the Bay Bridge you might be interested in checking it out
You should do a video on the California aqueduct .. Its really amazing..
Great idea! Cowboys cocked and loaded would guard sections
(Like the Hells Angels doing police work in San Fran hippythingy)
You two do great videos.
Wow! Amazing secret.
What a fun adventure!

You can park under the bridge, next to Coast Gaurd station.
And walk up hill to bridge walkway.
Wow! I never knew the troll existed! Nice history!
woah! cool find!
You can see the Bay Bridge Troll from a boat, too. You need to know exactly where it is, and you need to get close
nice bag
Have you guys ever heard of Echo Mountain in Altadena CA? I know that it has alot of history and it supposed to be haunted!
We have! It's definitely on our list :)
Its pretty awesome up there, especially at sunset.
There are concrete bear heads on the arches of the Mulholland Dam. That dam holds the Hollywood Reservoir and was built in 1925.
Good work
What kind of camera is that
Hi Wendy! Drew and I have put the cameras/gear we use in links in the description of the episode. Have a great day :)

Hey cool video I’m the guy make the troll in Bay Area thanks Freddy Rodriguez blacksmith
You two remind me of Peter Wimsey and Harriet Vane.
