Halifax had a fleet of these up until 1970 when they were all dumped for diesel buses…just in time for the oil crisis. 🙃 Shame there are no CCF-Brills left in working shame painted in NSLP colours, great to see one preserved on the west coast at least ❤
bring the oldies back ,they lasted longer and did not use any fuel and bring back the trolly, how fun would that be, with out history there would be no mistory.
They won't be brought back, as vancouver will be about to buy for the first time european trolleys from Solaris which are much better than older trolleys
That brill trolley bus is maintained and restored by privately funded and volunteered organization. None of your tax money goes in there and even if it did it’s no where near enough to help solving Vancouver’s zero housing and drug issues.
Try retrofitting it to accept a compass card and GPS with a computerized voice telling you what the next stop is on a 70 year old bus my nonbinary friend.
That's really neat, nice to see one of our few remaining pieces of living history being aired out
I was lucky enough to see these baby’s near my house.
So cute! Love it!
En Valparaíso aún trabajan los Pullman Standard de 1948 gracias por tan nobles máquinas.

I think he means bring trolley buses back
The good ol days when the Transfers would be valid in any direction.
I am a retired transit driver. Trolley buses are far superior to battery buses.
Trolley busses are mostly used in Downtown area. They must have air conditioner. It’s too hot.
OK. Fine. You looked backwards. Will CBC be reporting on the future of the (battery) trolleybus ever?
CBC reporting on some old bus but not reporting on the destruction of the city an all the drug issues thanks to Justine.
We are wasting money on this when we have zero housing and a drug infested dt east side?

Why are these not used in other areas of city? East van would be fun
