Miss you Hamish! Hope you are enjoying Melbourne, and all is well!
    Aww another loss.
As John said, he wants to see the club show ambition for the Champions League.
I think back to that Meme a few weeks before the end of last season, of Ange with Dermot etc together.
My take on it, Ange: "Are we going to show some ambition for the Champios League and get in some top players to progress?" Dermot: (Laughing) No. Exit Ange.
Hopefully the team will show some guts at Paradise.
    Good luck all, Marc D

Actually thought beforehand we would get punished, but, it became clear Feyenoord were definitely beatable, but, our game was littered with errors.
It was disappointing when the red cards came.
Gustav was a stick on for me after the first yellow.
Odin was a young player with something to prove, but came out all wrong imo.
    Just didn’t feel right.
It’s fair enough being well beaten by a side who deserved it, but, it was clear they were nothing special.
They may improve with personnel coming back, but so will we.
What concerns me now is the fact we have a real situation in central defence.
This team feels different this season.
You expected goals last season, but, as things stand, it just doesn’t feel right.
Appreciate we have the likes of Abada out, and have an issue with creating chances, that was pretty clear tonight.
I wouldn’t linger too much on the red cards, these players will learn from them.
Just don’t have that feeling where we could score from every attack , it’s a blank sheet, not a continuation of last season.

Even with O'Neil, Strachan and Lennon our champions League away record was shocking but that was okay because teams worried about coming to Glasgow.
The crowd was so intimidating it rattled some of the best players in the world and we had some great results at home. Famous players were talking about the atmosphere being the best they'd experienced. The fans lapped this up and the atmosphere changed from intimidating to respectful and welcoming. Around 2015 the word spread and opposition players started to realize that there was actually nothing to worry about, they could experience one of the best atmospheres in football, beat average Celtic teams and then get applauded off the pitch.

I genuinely have 0 expectations with us in Europe. That summer transfer window shows the club has no intention of taking the competition seriously, so why should we as a support? They've got a brass neck raising the ticket prices as well. Lawwell's bragging about the financial results just rubs salt into the wounds as well. We're minted, here's a child from the Norwegian league and a second rate winger from the second team in Thessaloniki. Don't give them the money, they don't deserve it.

I welcome any compensation that victims get and I still think the Club should not feel forced to accept responsibility if they have evidence that they were indeed a separate entity and thus not legally responsible for the actions of another organisation. If that's not the case Celtic should pay every penny they are asked to. Saw an article that Rangers are now being looked into. It'll be interesting to see how Rangers fans react. Remember they told victims to speak to the administrators for compensation because it's a different club.

Hello Hamish &John hope you’ve settled in down under , yeah what can I say about last night , I’ve mentioned we needed strength up front and steel in midfield, lack of being clinical when the chance came our way , Hatate should’ve fed Kyogo with that chance, the free kick Joe should’ve stayed more central , especially when we had good pressing and containing them , the two red cards are debatable, but if I was to pick out one individual that is just growing in confidence it’s Liam Scales, I thought yet again he’s just getting better and better with every game , but we must learn from this , we have to be more clinical in the final third , and we also have to be more streetwise in the field of play 🍀

Hatate shouldn't have played, he was way off his usual performance level having just come back from injury. Mcgregor just doesn't play for celtic in Europe like he does for Scotland on the international level. But besides the players, the celtic project is the problem in terms of bringing inexperienced players developing them and selling them on. The only people this is making happy is the board and the shareholders. When Celtic had success in Europe under Martin O'Neil, Strachan, and Lennon, we had a lot more experience in the team, unlike recent celtic teams, which is just player farming fs

      @Nihon0509 ปีที่แล้ว

@matthewrossi3498 I have been saying the same for a long time now and you are the first to agree with me. Most celtic fans go crazy when you criticise Mcgregor. He is awful as a defensive midfielder for us in Europe.

    • @matthewrossi3498
      @matthewrossi3498 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@Nihon0509The three managers you mentioned all did far better in Europe, with arguably weaker teams (apart from O'Neill). What they all had in common was more experienced players. I'm sure if you check the stats, they'll verify McGregor's fallibilities in that position. He'd be much more use to us further forward. Jackie McNamara also agrees and said it multiple times on this very channel HH 🍀

What's our transfer budget tops in a great year? £30m? That's going to do f all in CL terms. Our model has to be identifying young, cheap players who we can develop and sell for profit. I know it hurts but that's the reality.

Same old pish we never learn on the pitch or off it why have we got a squad of 32 players we only need 25 or 26 players of better quality then if we get injuries give the young players in youth system a chance is that not what it’s there for we brought in 9 players in the summer and none of them has made the team better pointless

Hey boys , good to hear you again, missed greatly.
Always had time for BR but, Celtic have stalled since big Ange left.
I acknowledge BR has only started, however, it doesn't seem like he has 'continued the build' with what was a very good foundation
I don't have the answers but, the CL seems to be a step too far for the hoops and unless things soon change, the 'mental scars' will just make things more difficult in the future.
Winning domestic trophies is still very important for the club but, it has to take the next step to grow.
The next step is, competing and making a mark in the CL. Being a team that can have some success in the CL will open the gates for more options recruiting players and allow the club to build.
At the moment it appears, from an outsider, the club has hit a wall and the team need to show every one that it is a club that belongs in the CL.
Being a 'speed hump' for other clubs in Europe is below Celtic.
The club may suffer in the short term, but serious decisions need to be made ...........the club and supporters deserve it.
    Up the Hoops!
