I had a charter that day, i held back my customers till 8:30 that morning. They killed it that day. 2 reds and 2 trout short of a three man limit. Brown was color that day and pumbkin chartruse.
Just from my personal experience on windier days when your fishing knee deep and down I’ve caught pretty decent fish using top waters. Just have to make sure your not doing the regular walk the dog but more of a sporadic movement.
