Thanks, mate. I have no idea what they are talking about, your video is really helpful. I am Naot a native speaker, but have been lived in the US for quite a while.
Hi Karen! Your video is very interesting and I find it very helpful especially for me because I just started working in an Australian firm. It is a bit tough for me to understand their accent because I am more familiar with American accent. I want to be familiarized with their way of conversation. Sometimes, I feel ashamed when I am talking with them. I don't feel so confident on how I convey my thoughts because I feel that we would not understand each other. I am so conscious with my choice of words so to be easier for them to understand. Pls, help me on this. I want to keep my work and continue working with them. In fairness, they are so benevolent and it is hard to find people like them. Thank you for uploading a video like yours. It's very helpful. I hope to see more helpful videos. Stay safe!
Thanks so much for your message 🙏 I hope you’re enjoying your new job. And I also hope that my videos continue to help you better understand your Australian colleagues! 🤞
I got it wrong on this part: The sentence: Now I get that you needed time to chill out after your mate died: What I've written: Now I get that you needed time to chill out after you make that. I really had a hard time hearing the last two words. I could hear "Make God", which doesn't makes sense at all. so I ended up writing down "Make that" which has more sense. This exercise is really effective I guess because you don't know the context of the story or any previous discussions, so you're brain really tries to listen to the words as how they are pronounced. Thanks for this exercise. I'll check the other exercise as well on this channel.
pretty hard for me. I used to listen to or speak in American accent. But thank to Christopher, Felix and Rosie, I am now addicted to Aussie accent. So, Imma try. And how I heard the conversation was a total shame. lol. man1:Listen, mate man2:*completely not understand* man3:But the audience said. (lol) And the rest were total Greek to me.
2:41 normal speed 3:17 slower speed 1st man: Listen, mate. It's been great having you around here. 2nd man: But you're over it, right? 1st man: I didn't say that. Now I get that you needed time to chill out after your mate died. I do. And you know what? I haven't pushed school or anything.
this is really great way to practice listening Australian accent! your video is so helpful for me who keep struggling to listen to Australian accent. please keep making this kind of video. pretty sure many people learn a lot through this. thank you so much :))

Hi Daniel, nice to see you here! English is pretty much the same all around the world. We just have different accents; our spelling is sometimes a little different; and we also occasionally use different words and phrases. Australia follows British grammar rules, so choose a British English language textbook and study that as best you can. And once you know the basic rules,, then you can study the harder things, and learn words and phrases that are used specifically in Australia. All the best! 💪
Hey KT The video was great, I'm gonna immigrate to Australia some months later and I'm afraid I won't get ausi accent, these kind of videos helps a lot, and I have a question, does your own accent totally Australian? I want to suggest your Instagram page to my family to follow and learn
Yes, I have an Australian accent, but I do try and speak much more clearly in my videos so that people can understand me and what I am trying to teach. Note that accents can vary all around Australia too, depending on where people are from. But hopefully you can get a general feel for the Australian accent in my videos.
Is only for me Australian such a nightmare? I can understand practically every US and british speaker in 90% but when it comes to Australian I think that I hear non-english verbs every second word... Bruh
It’s interesting you say that! No one has said that about my accent before. In any case, I think some words would sound quite similar across many different accents.
It's difficult to understand Australian accent for my OET listening. Your vdeo is helpful

I think the Australia Accent so fast :D
Yeah, some people can speak very fast. Keep practising. You’ll eventually get there! 💪
Well explained video! However, I was confused on one detail. Shouldn't be 3rd paragraph be spoken by son, then by father, rather than by one person?
The second man doesn't say much here, it is mainly the first man speaking in this conversation.
Thanks a lot .
My pleasure, I’m glad you liked the video 🙏
Very interesting, I am learning more of things so you can make it more video. It's as good work from indian people.

If only all Australians spoke as clear as you do! :))
It's more difficult to understand when the vedio you published on TH-cam has low volume explained in it ...
This was one of my earlier videos, so my equipment wasn’t as good. Hopefully you’re able to hear my more recent videos a bit better🤞

but you aren't speaking with an Aussie accent, you said going like an american
It’s interesting you say that! No one has said that about my accent before. In any case, I think some words would sound quite similar across many different accents.
This channel has found very low in sound, so kindly use loud speaker during teaching hours.

The Australian accent can be quite hard to understand if you don't hear it often. Keep practising! 💪
Horrible accent but there is no choice because I have to get along with it as an Australian permanent resident 😅
Too hard for me.
