I lost my boyfriend 7 years ago to pancreatic cancer. It was a a tragedy.....he went to the hospital one day and never came home. But while he was living he’d play guitar for me everynite and sing to me. There’s just something mesmerizing as you play each cord. Like a heartbeat. You’ve given me a gift, and I thought you should know. Thank you ❤️

Sorry for your loss Barbara....I lost my girlfriend many years ago and, as musician, music was only the real support who helped me so much. There are things in life that cannot be answered, we are left alone to reflect how cruel it is sometimes but, in this ocean of pain, music is a wonderful medicine that manages to cancel time and space to make everything becomes eternal. In every single composition I try to experience every single emotion being only and exclusively ... myself. I'm more than sure that your boyfriend still continues to play for you from the Heaven.

Brings back memories as a 15 year old kid in 1970 who drank too much, smoked too much and hung out in the basement playing pool and poker with the other military brats, listening to records like the Blind Faith album that contained this song. I attended three high schools, four junior high schools and three elementary schools. All of the moving around made me anxious and dizzy and I used to act up. It would be many years before I understood why. This song is drilled into my psyche. Military brats don't have homes. They have stations. You are stationed here, then you are stationed there. In some ways it is nice because you get to see so many places and meet so many people. In other ways, you are affected by your rootlessness, your loneliness and your constant need to please people because nobody wanted to be ostracized and two years was a long time to wait for the next opportunity to make friends. When I meet people who grew up like I did, I feel an instant bond with them. When I hear this song I am reminded of my days of rootlessness and not knowing where home was at.

When I was 28 years old sitting at my desk in an office with the same people everyday, I thought to myself "Man, this is weird. I haven't felt like this since elementary school." That was the moment my life changed. That was when the nervousness and dizziness began to go away., because before that was college with the constant changes in classrooms and work where I was constantly on the move. Yes, I moved again and I drifted from one job to another throughout my career, but I was OK with it after that one moment of stability. I was cured.

Winter 1970 and I'm freezing my butt off. Jump into my battered Austin Mini with a buddy. Our goal, Miami and warmth . On the floor of the Mini s a used eight-track player and a Blind Faith cartridge. 20 something hours of uninterrupted Blind Faith. My all time favorite album and Can't Find My Way Home is at the top of the list.
Justin you play beautifully, regardless of the number of strings. I have several of your books and chord charts and wish I could get just one percent of the beauty you bring our of your instruments.

What incredible musicianship. It just proves that you don't have to be the fastest or the loudest or have a million teeny bopper groupies. You just need soul, and a feel that
you can convey to the listener, as that is what it is all about anyway. Justin does this in spades, in every song that I have ever heard him perform. This no exception.
His performance of this song is a masterpiece, pure and unencumbered, as I believe only he could do. Thank you Justin for your dedication to your craft.

The tone of this guitar brought to us by Mr. Johnson with his respectful treatment of this song is why people love the sound of a guitar so much. That ebony fretboard really makes the notes ring with a long fade there when he wants it. This rendition really gets to the haunting sadness of the original Blind Faith version. • @DrewpieDrew
      @DrewpieDrew 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Ironically, it was that term that paved the way to its undoing. Clapton convinced Winwood to leave The Spencer Davis Group and start something new together as he was fed up of Cream being termed a supergroup. Ginger Baker got wind of it and insisted on being the drummer and, with Ric Grech as bassist, another 'supergroup' was born. Clapton grew disillusioned and they split after one album.

What's with the 231 thumbs down, don't these dullards understand that if it sounded exactly like Stevie's version there would be no reason to listen to it. Sometimes the stupidity takes over the inner ear and makes people oblivious to the fact that this is a complete finger picking arrangement by Justin. Maybe they should open an encyclopedia and look up the definition of "Arrangement". Justin, don't get a big head but you are awesome and were born to play guitar and as I'm sure you well know, just keep making it sound beautiful as always.
I've been playing for 40 years and still have a very long way to go to satisfy myself, although It does make me feel good when I get asked to play something and in a few minutes everybody with me is singing along. Since I was 15 I tried to go home. I was mad at GOD because her wouldn't let me come home. I just couldn't understand why.
This song eased the pain, as if I knew someone else understood.
I didn't want to be here. I knew home and wanted to come back. But I could find my way. No matter what I tried and I tried many times. He just wouldn't let me.
Then my mother found a way to help understand that there was a way. That someone has already come to show us the way. We don't have to struggle or suffer. He has taken on the burden for us.
It took me years to find him because I was so lost.
I didn't have to be wasted anymore.
He has come. He is the light and the way. I finally understand and I'm on my way home, one day. I really really miss it. God bless you mom, I miss you too.

    Beautifully rendered.
As for the song....well.....as a younger man I sang along to this, and empathized with it immensely, as I traveled and explored all across this wide world. But in all that searching, and in all that time, I have come to this conclusion.
Home is within you. It sits in the perspective of your heart.
Do not seek home. Be home. Life in all its manifold expressions is a journey, and to traverse the path before you will take an eternity of Time.
So don't be fearful, worried or concerned because you are not alone in your travels. Your home is right there with you. All you need do is to see this and understand...
