- The plaintiff moved in with the defendant, her high school friend, and claims she still owes her for rent, electricity, and the cost of a dog, so the plaintiff is suing. The defendant insists the plaintiff is just bitter about how things went down while they lived together. Besides, the defendant says she has already paid the plaintiff back for the bills in question.

I can't understand broke people getting a pet, much less buying one. If you don't have money for the food and big vet bills, you're not even allowed to go to the pet shelter to get a free one. And I didn't even mention people who are not at home for 18 hs a day. I call them "selfish cruel morons"
Yes! I kept trying to tell my daughter about the responsibility of having a pet. She's 24 and does not have any children; I told her having a dog is like having a child. She kept her brother's dog for a few days and when she took him back ...she understood how much a pet would take up her time.... 😄
There was more than a friendship going on with these two. They're acting like they were in a relationship.

The female version of Dumb and Dumber.
If she never paid you back for the security deposit when you first moved in together, WHY would you buy her a dog and expect her to pay you back for the dog? That makes no sense. Also you should've never moved in together if the defendant couldn't afford to pay first month's rent and security deposit.
These are all questions her parents should have asked her prior to moving out.. we all know the pitfalls when you live with friends.
Those are some hard 20 and 21 years.
