Enjoyed your videos on the IC7000. Have had this radio for a few years originally for a mobile set up and never really got round to exploring the different functions. Have you done a video on FT8 with this radio? Many thanks de G4YWX.
Hi ,no I haven't I do not have the audio interface needed there are a few available there is a free programme that will decide using audio and Tx using Vox.th-cam.com/video/PGl8Ho_ggoY/w-d-xo.html
Am i right in saying you cant set the band edge bleeps up on that like you can on the 7300, ie if you have it widebanded you loose all you band edge bleeps, and prob only get one at the bottom of 160 and top of 70cms, with the 7300 you can set the band edge bleeps up for each band...F g4vvq.
I like that radio but they’re still selling it for a lot of money for a old radio.I’m a Yaesu guy but the way this radio looks I like it’ cuase it’s compact. I have a ft-891 and a ft-710 .
Unfortunately, this radio has a poor quality receiver on short waves. I had this radio for 15 years. Of course, in 2009 it was a good radio. But compared to others, the radio worked below average expectations. Difficult menu operation. A big advantage was the multi-band radio. But who needs it on a daily basis? I sold it without regret until these years.
I find a lot of your videos so helpful to me. Thank you so much.
Oh wow many thanks glad me learning helps others .
Fantastic little radio, hard to believe they are 20 years old. Have the 7000 and 706MKIIG
