We definitely need more chaos-baking with Jen! 🍌Bread looks amazing. Also-it's an American thing from the 1930s as a way to 1) not waste bananas and 2) as a promotion for new instant baking powders/sodas that just went on the market, inventing the entire category of quick-breads. (Sorry, I don't know why I know this)

During the Second World War, the Government cut all unnecessary imports into Britain. The import of bananas stopped in 1941. It began again after the war on 30th December 1945, when the first cargo arrived at Avonmouth aboard the Tilapa.
