Well actually, in the Japanese version before it was dubbed, there was a lot more romantic innuendo, especially in the manga, so much so to the point where Ash was actually spying on her when she was bathing ( which is creepy both in itself + because they're supposed to be 12 )

Eh, it was always much more like Atem/Anzu (Tea) than it ever was with Yugi himself (though one-sided on Tea's part).
Even back in the Shadow Games manga, Tea had tried to put herself in danger on purpose in order to draw out Atem to be around him while seemingly on a date with Yugi. Basically, she was pulling a Bella *before* Bella.
Jack & Carly From 5D's should have happened, they shared a kiss in Season 2 before she died for goddess sake! Also Yusei & Aki was supposed to happen but wasn't executed good.

Yeah, I hated how Carly just seemed to be forgotten after the Dark Signers arc and Jack more or less went back to how he was before, and Aki went from being a strong, tough, and skilled female Duelist to essentially being Yusei's cheerleader, much like how Asuka/Alexis did with Judai/Jaden in GX.
I can only hope Yuzu/"Zuzu" (who the hell came up with that for the dub?) doesn't end up the same with with Yuya in Arc-V.

Okay so the description of Duck and Fakir’s companionship is totally wrong (not to mention you kept showing Mytho, not Fakir 🤦🏻♀️). I would need a chart to fully explain Princess Tutu but I will try to keep it fairly simple (like not totally going down the “story within a story” rabbit hole but I will bring it up a bit). At the beginning, Duck wants to restore Mytho’s heart cause she’s infatuated with him and wants to see him happy, cause you know without his heart he’s an emotionless shell. Fakir doesn’t want Mytho to get his heart back and is harsh in his approach, but he has understandable motivations. Fakir has known Mytho for years and has seen that even without his heart, Mytho will willingly do what he can to protect the weak even if it means causing harm to himself. Fakir doesn’t want Mytho to get his heart back because it’ll be easier to control and protect him (again saying that Fakir isn’t good in his approach but he thinks it’s what works). Second, the events of the show are meant to mirror a fictional book called “The Prince and the Raven,” and each of the main characters embody different roles within the story. Fakir is the knight who dutifully protects Mytho and understands that if Mytho starts regaining his heart, he may shatter it again to keep the Raven from harming innocent people and Fakir doesn’t want to see Mytho go back through that pain, or really the pain associated with each of the emotions he’s starting to regain. Third, and I also think most important, in the story the knight dies protecting Mytho from the Raven. Once Princess Tutu enters the fray and starts restoring Mytho’s heart, Fakir knows that if he doesn’t try to stop it the story will progress to that point where he has to sacrifice himself but he’s afraid to die even if it’s to protect Mytho. And that’s a big personal struggle of his as he wants to be Mytho’s protector but he doesn’t know how to do so without dying.
That all being said, and so much more needs to be filled in to get the full picture, Duck and Fakir begrudgingly start working together to protect Mytho because they see Princess Kraehe (the rival princess in the story) as a bigger threat to Mytho than what either one of them poses. Before then, Duck didn’t like Fakir because he was mean and controlling with Mytho and everyone else, but she saw Fakir at his most vulnerable when his adopted father questioned if Fakir had the strength to be the knight. Duck was an actual duck at that time because otherwise Fakir would have never been open or caring towards her. When he eventually learns that Duck was the same bird, he’s horribly embarrassed that she’s seen him at his lowest point but is surprised that she’s still willing to put her trust in him to protect Mytho and that she tried to reassure Fakir that he’s not a bad knight. It’s then that they form a connection for the rest of the story as they grapple with whether getting Mytho’s heart restored is right thing to do, reconciling what their roles in the story mean for them, but also wondering if they can break out of those roles. Even though they both feel powerless to help Mytho, their belief in each other gives them the strength to support each other to the end. They also realize that because of each other’s influence they’ve changed for the better. But they still have a bit of snark between them that makes their dynamic entertaining as hell. It’s just beautiful and so well done and I could write so much more on the Duck/Fakir relationship. But in short, Princess Tutu is the best and the dynamic between Duck and Fakir is one of the best character progressions I’ve ever witnessed.

Totaly agree, always rooted for tai x sora. Hopefully they will show in the third "season" how sora and matt and tai and the black haired one hooked up. So if you guys didnt know, right know there is somewhat of a third season airing. It is parted in several films (maybe 4 or so?). Right now only the first film is out.
