You are very correct. I actually forgot hit record on my first 20-30 serves, so I didn’t capture the first mistakes. This is a clip from after and I had to work very hard for this 😁
The angle is what matters ( hard to measure I know) but If the ball goes high enough you can have a legal serve even if the balls moves sideways a lot. Ovtcharov does that a lot.
Secondly, if you do that serve against an intermediate level player or even some higher level players, they will read that as backspin. They will simply push it back as they would do any backspin ball. So it's only because he's a pro that you were able to fool him.
Not quite. I contacted with backspin first (with a small action). Then my bat moves up a small amount (which doesn’t impact the spin), then when I move the bat down, it can look as though I’m trying to disguise topspin. So, it’s the motions after the contact.
Doot, doot, doot!
Nicely done, Master!
😁
I just love to see that you’re not just able to bluff a pro but one of you students as well.
🙃🙂
Even a pro would be confused a first few serves. But pros, they adapt and learn super quick. :))

Frankly speaking you hide the contact moment . Magic .das ist fantastish 😊
What the **** was actually on that " back and side spin ? 🤔🏓
Yes, back and side 👌
We can clearly see how you did it there, thanks for posting it
How could Duda fall for that? He thought that was topspin? Lol
That throw is SOOOO illegal it's ridiculous 😂
You threw from mid of table at hit it at corner of table, cmon Craig, what are you teaching us here 😉

@@diegodsxx1 its that the ball MUST be visible at all time, not hidden by head or body, from leaving hand to the point of contact.
Not vertical throw. Almost diagonal throw. At least with arc. When coming down hidden by head and upper body. But hey BD didn’t complain so😂😂😂
ITS really proud if we can trick a better player. 😂
Bluffed the bluff
Was that a double bluff ?
As in back spin with a bluff of top spin and a second bluff of backspin ?
Yes. Backspin but then trying to make it look like I’m disguising topspin.
Yoo are you still in germany?😍☺️
No, I was only there for 2 days
What looks like backspin is really top spin…yes?
Nearly! It’s backspin that looks like I’ve tried to disguise topspin (the end result is flicking into the net, which shows backspin).
So...hold on. How come Duda doesn't read that as backspin? Your action suggests backspin, so why is he receiving as though it's topspin??

isnt that an illegal serve since you threw it back toward yourself?
30 degree tolerance from bottom to top. This is about 10-15 degrees.
Serve is illegal because ball is not thrown up vertical but at an angle and have quite an arc. Anyone make mistakes. Pro players also.😅
So your 'pre-contact' movement fooled him?
Not quite. I contacted with backspin first (with a small action). Then my bat moves up a small amount (which doesn’t impact the spin), then when I move the bat down, it can look as though I’m trying to disguise topspin. So, it’s the motions after the contact.
@@TheTableTennisServiceGuy Well, you fooled two of us! How can one possibly read a serve like that with accuracy???
Hook
Illegal serve.
that me i can do that
I thought u were a pro
I played semi-pro for 11 years. Duda is many, many levels above me.
