‘Morally lost’: Douglas Murray on ‘ignorant kids’ at pro-Palestine protests at universities

- Author Douglas Murray has blasted the “disgusting and ignorant kids” participating in pro-Palestine protests at American universities as “morally lost”.
Mr Murray wrote a piece in the New York Post earlier this month called, ‘College idiots calling for ‘Intifada’ have no idea how many innocents have died from that word’.
“I mentioned, in that piece, the 2001 bombing of the Dolphinarium nightclub in Tel Aviv where a Palestinian suicide bomber detonated by a group of young women trying to get into the club,” Mr Murray told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“These women were the same age as these women chanting for Intifada now at Columbia, and in LA, and in other reprehensible educational institutions in the US.
“I wonder if these disgusting and ignorant kids at American universities have any idea that that’s what they’re calling for.
“If they do, then they are morally lost to an extent that they probably could never come back from.
“If they’re just ignorant, which I really, really hope they are, I hope that - to steal one of the phrases they’re so keen on using themselves - they do the work and realise what the words they chant actually mean.”

It's Israel's responsibility to ensure the safety and welfare of Gazans - I haven't heard a single voice raised that suggests that Hamas should bear responsibility for its own people.

I just returned from Israel for a 3 days visit to a friend and to talk to people about what is happening and their opinion on the current situation. We went from the north to the south(from Tzevat to Eilat(just so that we can hear what everyone had to say from each part)). The trip took us 2 days by car with breaks here and there to talk to people(the country is really tiny). And it did not matter who we asked and talked to, they all said the same thing about the situation.
That it is solely the Palestinian fault that this is happening and if they would just give up their fight to completely destroy Israel, there would be peace.
And it does not matter what the world thinks, all they want is to live in peace in their small area of the world. And mind you, we talked to Muslims, Jews, Christians, Bedouin, Druze, Hindu, Buddhists, people from different nations who are now Israeli citizens and even Palestinian workers(who unfortunately said that most Palestinians DO agree with Israel and want peace but cant speak out or act it because if they do they and their family members will get killed) all said the same thing.
They know that the level of freedom Israel has is virtually nonexistence in other countries around the area, and even their own home countries, like the Chinese and Russians we talked to.
What baffles me is that the people in the west think that they know better and what is going on there without ever stepping into the country, i mean the gates are open, just travel there and see, no one will attack you for visiting no mater your denomination. Heck they were even happy to speak to people from other country that want to understand the situation clearly, because they feel that their voices are not heard since they are a small group of people compared to the Billions of others who hate them for no reason.

When I was at university we had visiting Muslim teachers come to let us all know how fantastic that religion is. However, we didn’t have Jewish teachers come, or Indian teachers etc. if you’re going to sing the praises of one religion, it should be all of them, not just the religion that has the most followers. I work in heavy construction, in 20 years there has been one woman last a whole year. She is fine but can't do the work at the same physical level as the 40 men she works with. I give her credit for doing what she does, we all have our limits. She is not demanding more women on the job site. She has been humbled and is the first to admit that not one woman she knows could do half of what we do.
