Tourist rip off out of control. Restaurants are very overpriced. The sea is overfished, seafood is super expensive and of low quality. On Vis island, for example, on June 11, 2022 I faced a shocking invoice in a tavern type eatery, called Vetrica - a 58 dollar charge for a small grilled fish for one, and a small bottle of mineral water. Just fish, no side dish, no salad, no vine. Local farmers' markets are another rip offs - they rarely post their prices, and cheat you out not only with the low, often overriped, rotten produce they sneak into the bag while they defocus you, but also cheat on the weight,, and the worst one - they would rip you off with the change, always short of... when you are finished with the purchase and are ripped off, they would tell you, "God be with you.'' I will never ever return to this corrupt place where 2 prices dominate the markets, one - for the locals, and one for the tourists, adding sometimes a 50 percent extra to your bill.
