for those asking why narciss didnt keep him. its because he was a reminder of lola and everytime he looks at him his heart (yes he has a heart) breaks and he needed him to be safe whilst he goes looking for revenge. not to mention that he is the kings son, bastard or not, it was better for him to remain in France and Catherine as cold as she is truly did love her sons and will love and protect him as well as most likely screw him up.

Narcisse and Elizabeth were both evil characters that I would not trust with a child. Francis didn't trust Narcisse with his child and Lola at the end was just desperate to leave her son with Narcisse because there was no one else. So I think that child should have been raised with Mary or Lola's parents. People forgot about Lola's parents.

To me, he had the most interesting character development of all. He starts out as a ruthless antagonist with only his own interest at heart and gradually evolves into someone to rely on and who will put other interests above his own, yet without losing his previous characteristics completely. It would have been interesting to see his and Lola's dynamics after her time in England, which clearly changed her, but... :(
Was still kind of evil in the end. Did castrate a man like a week prior to this scene. And he spent pretty much his whole marriage with Catherine as his side chick because Lola did not want to get kinky in bed. He loved Lola (no doubt) but never really honoured her as a wife.
