Hello sir I am a 12th student and I'm going to give jee 2022. I recently gave a jee main mock test and scored very low and I'm very demotivated. I found out that I don't have grasp on each and every topic. There are some selected topics I chose which are of high weightage in both mains and advance and I'm currently focusing on them. Initially when I got into jee prep I was not completely serious about it. It was only in 11th end I realized that I have to work harder. And initially my plan was only mains,since my mom always said advanced is very hard and stuff (my sister gave jee in 2015 and then in drop year 2016). But as I became serious about my studies and as time passed I realized that advanced is not completely difficult. There are still some questions which can get us a good IIT. But seeing my latest mock test scores I'm demotivated because mains wants us to master each and every topic,there was a question from almost every topic in the paper(mock paper was jee mains 2021 paper),you cannot just focus on some selected topics and then get a good collegelike in jee advanced. I'm finding myself comfortable in doing mains questions but struggle in covering entire syllabus,meanwhile I'm able to do some advanced questions but I am comfortable in covering only 50-60% syllabus(and in that too I have some weak topics). Now on top of all this jee preparation schools are also taking pre boards,unit test,etc and this is just giving me lesser and lesser time. Please guide me because I've heard of people unable to get good marks in mains but get selected in IIT. I know that adv is not easy but seeing that we can get good IIT even at 50% marks is very motivating. Awaiting your reply. I read the whole of it dear. Thanx for sharing your query with all of us. For now just focus on Mains dear. After 1st attempt focus on advance and yes cracking adv doesn't need full syllabus. Rather cracking adv is easier than mains if your 50% concepts are very strong. There is already a adv analysis video on our channel for you to refer.

Now on top of all this jee preparation schools are also taking pre boards,unit test,etc and this is just giving me lesser and lesser time.
Please guide me because I've heard of people unable to get good marks in mains but get selected in IIT. I know that adv is not easy but seeing that we can get good IIT even at 50% marks is very motivating.

For now just focus on Mains dear.
After 1st attempt focus on advance and yes cracking adv doesn't need full syllabus. Rather cracking adv is easier than mains if your 50% concepts are very strong.

I lag in maths and it consumes too much time of test ,and I am being able to attempt only 40 to 45 questions . What should I do?
improvise on your mock test attempting strategy. try solving chem in 20-30 min, physics in 60-70 min and left time for math
