Hatch, i usually try and do things myself if i can first before paying someone else and i have saved a lot of money over the years and learned a lot of valuable skills. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for making this video! Thorough and well explained. Planning to do this repair myself soon. Two questions, what size socket is needed to remove the hub bolts? I noticed you painted the trailing arm. Is there a special kind of paint you used to do that?
I've done a lot of jobs that I just can't get done. I have to walk away and do something else, then when I come back, I figure it out and finish. Sometimes walking away from a job helps a lot.
Kevin, you really go after a problem with all your might and solve it. I have a question, what is that anti zis? I don't know how to spell it and would like to look into that for my son in law to have. Thank you, and my admiration to you.
Link for you Permatex 80078 Anti-Seize Lubricant With Brush Top Bottle Prevents Galling, Corrosion, Seizing, Refined Blend Aluminum, Copper, And Graphite Lubricants For Spark Plugs 8 oz amzn.to/3UMyt8d I just like to do it my self lol and save money.
Kevin a trick I came up with is I use a scissor jack or bottle jack and place behind things and press them off. Also if rotor gets stuck can use same trick, but rotors also have a threaded hole that you can tread a steel screw into to press rotor off. Your a metal guy you could make a plate to atta h to lugs for leverage with jack
If they just sold a car with cruise control, keyless entry and air conditioning that's all I need. I don't even care about air bags. Everytime people hit me the air bags didn't even deploy.
You are not a mechanic just like you are not a carpenter. Great job.
Lol thanks Frank
👍👍👍 The job was difficult enough without filming it as well. Great tutorial. Thanks Kevin
It wasn't too bad since i had already did the other side so i knew more of what i was doing this time lol.
Definitely so much cheaper if you can do it yourself. Nice job Kevin. Thanks for sharing, be well my friend.

I just used a rustoleum paint and sorry i don't remember the bolt size but hope it all goes good for you.
@@Robinson-Homestead Thanks again, the repair went great!
For others to reference: The hub bolts required a 17mm socket.
i have this same problem in my outlander 2,4 best regards from Poland
Let me know if I can help.
Thanks for the comment.
@@Robinson-Homestead thanks , not work
Is there a wheel speed sensor on each wheel? Or just the back 2 wheels?
I do think all 4 wheels have speed sensors.

Daryl i agree sometimes that is what i do too.

im doing the same job on my wifes car, thanks
I save a lot of money doing the job myself, good luck with your car hope everything goes good for you.
Would also just changing the whole wheel bearing work?
Should work.
Well done.
Thank you so much
I believe you need a wheel puller tool to get that hub off
I was worried about messing up the seal in the rear end , is why i didn't use one.
yeah a bearing puller
Could you have zip tied it?
No room to do anything with it.
What happens if you don't fix it?
The four wheel drive and brake system won't work.
The four wheel drive and brake system won't work
That's probably a $500 job at a repair shop
I bet I had to do 2 of them save my money lol.

Thanks for watching.
One thing I don't like is ABS and ESC and other nonsense we don't need. Much like TPM system all that junk.
I agree 100% and when it goes bad it is a lot of money to replace it.

One very important question is do you know JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR PERSONAL LORD AND SAVIOR?
Yse I do thanks for the comment and watching.
