I knew right from the outset as soon as I heard the opening lines that this rendition was going to be superb. Anyone can belt out the fortissimo but often a measure of a choir is how they handle the lighter end of the scale and these boys so totally had the feel of the piece in that and indeed in all other respects. Dynamics perfect, diction likewise, harmonies spot on with accurate and beautifully weighted accompaniment throughout. The piece built slowly and sensitively to it’s rousing but controlled ending crescendo. Bravo. I don’t know if you used copies but I doubt it very much. The parts were so clean it can only mean each voice was following a high standard of professional direction and had truly applied themselves to learning and rehearsing this classic. Best I’ve heard on TH-cam. Well sung lads.
