Excellent video. I'm definitely trying to shop my closet. I have so much! Returning to my clothes with "stylist" eyes is so good for us. Creativity-wise, money-wise, and environmental-wise.
I love that you pointed out that these aren't rules but your own ideas. I really like the aesthetics of your videos especially when you go in slow motion when you show your outfits! Please keep it up
Thank you Anna! Sometimes things can sound like 'rules' but everything is always an idea for us to pick and choose the ones that we like :) So happy you enjoyed the aesthetic and I'm super excited to share more content like this. Have a great week ahead x
I have just found you about three hours ago and now I am binged watching your videos and taking notes of your tips. I am so glad to find you, Helen! I find your videos inspiring and your warm, friendly and kind demeanor very heart warming :) I have been ill and this is why I have so much time on my hands now, when I am not asleep and heavily drugged. LOL. Love from England, Nisa.
Great video. You are so true to your own style. It’s nice to see a perspective that’s not the same as everyone else’s. I The way you think of putting colors together is refreshing!
Very interesting video! I love the rule of three in the way you explained it, and your approach to neutral outfits. Your last outfit (the black + navy + brown combo) 💞
Another awesome video! I love the idea of being your own wardrobe’s stylist! Makes it exciting to play around with rather than lusting after new pieces to be added. Also cool how before each tip you’re in a different outfit, it literally felt like you were walking us through a live styling session. Rule of 3 is great too, and I’ve always been nervous about mixing metals because it never looks right on me/I start to question if it’s a skin tone issue even though I’m a neutral 😅. Thanks for the illustrations Helen!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed this video! :) and thank you for the feedback too, definitely will sometimes revert back to this format in future videos too :)) Have a lovely week ahead x
I have been loving your videos lately!! I have been watching for a while now and have recently noticed how your editing has changed-I really like it!! Super creative and unique :)
These are such good tips! I honestly find that I'm not interested in what's available in the stores now, and feel like I have plenty of good clothes to wear.. if only I knew how to style them properly. The sweater/ scarf idea actually makes alot of sense and, best of all, is quite practical! The rule of 3 is also very interesting, in addition to being more experimental with not matching accessories like the shoes and bag! I feel like I'm definitely learning alot from watching your channel! Thank you for sharing your knowledge Helen!
The reason why the jewellery go so well together is because the diamonds are white and the white gold is also White. Matching the stones will help too. So if you have a piece of yellow gold jewellery with a blue sapphire and a silver piece of jewellery with also a blue stone that's an easy way to mix metals!! I'm a cool toned person bordering neutral , and I can wear either type of jewellery easily. I mix metals all the time! It can be super fun!! I love the ideas of mixing texture. I bet the Pinterest ideas I love do this. Along with the mix of style. (Edgy, boheme and masculine styles are my favorite) Lots of food for thought here thanks lady! Your hard work is appreciated here!
Just here to say that I love barrel leg jeans! For anyone who hasn’t found their flattering Jean style yet, try barrel leg! I discovered they are the only style that flatters me! 👌🏻
yes! I have thicccccc calves and skinny jeans are on trend before so it does not really look flattering on me. It also became an insecurity since in my opinion, it just not look good to see. Thank goodness I discovere high waisted barrel leg jeans or trousers. It literally saved me 💖💖
Hey Helen, i didn't see a name for the green pants you are wearing in the second part of the statement piece section? Are these by Elizabeth James??? They look like a pant from them I've seen. Thanks for the video!
