Given the weak journalism and media in Scotland. There is little chance the SNP Administration will be taken to task as fervently as Henry McLeish or the others were. In fact it will take outside intervention (WM perhaps) before justice is served

Boris the Oligarch is also looking for a new Britannia - there is a growing choice around the world even the Dutch have arrested 14 Oligarch's super yachts. Though in reality BOJO would have to impose real sanctions, more chance P&O sells some capacity - yet even these may be too big.

As per usual, Westminster's dirty fingers are all over the Ferry fiasco, it was the British Civil Service which choose to award the company the contract, not the Scottish Government. Stuart Blantyne, now based in Australia, presented plans for Ferries to be built in Scottish Yards, which not only cost less to build but were also far more efficient using some 60% less fuel. These got knocked back. I was shocked to learn that Scotland's Civil Service are actually under the control of Westminster.

11th August 2022 Scotsman newspaper reported Tory MSP Dross claims food shortage on islands and wanted the transport minister to intervene.
Alternative ferry routes to and from the Western Isle's were still operating last week the Scotsman understands, across the main route between Uig, Lochmaddy and Tarbert was suspended.
Robbie Drummond managing director of CalMac said "during the latest distribution we shipped all food deliveries we were asked to take.
We prioritize food supplies and nothing was left on the mainland.
Any issues with food supplies may have been caused by other reasons such as supermarket supply chain issues."
